At the heart of the Argüelles district, our partner school is located only 5 minutes' walk away from the Plaza de España and the Gran Via, often called "Spain's Broadway" thanks to the numerous theatres and shows which are represented there. Recently renovated, our school has, over three floors, 38 bright and spacious classrooms. Numerous common areas will allow students to relax during breaks and to eat a snack (numerous vending machines are available for use). A room with several computers offers you unlimited Internet access and students with their own laptop will be able to make use of the Internet connection throughout the building.

Free optional culture classes
In addition to the daily Spanish classes, Don Quijote offers an extra class each day on varied topics of cultural interest. Thanks to these classes, the students have the opportunity to gain better knowledge of Spain, the way of life, the customs and traditions... in brief, all of the elements which help in gaining a better understanding of the Spanish language.

Accommodation

Host family
Host families are located about 30 minutes away from the school and will provide you with a single room with half-board. This experience will not only allow you to practise your Spanish on a daily basis, but also to get to know the home lifestyle of the Madrid people, their customs, their food, and in this way, you will get a taste of the local hospitality.
Shared apartments
Shared apartments are a very popular option in Spain and give you the opportunity to share with other international students. You will stay in a single room and will share the living room, kitchen, which is fully-equipped, and the bathroom with your flatmates. The apartments each have a television and washing machine.

Leisure

As a cosmopolitan city, and the capital of Spain and the Spanish-speaking world, Madrid offers an abundance of opportunities to go out and discover new cultures: the Reina Sofia, Thyssen and Prado museums are just a few examples. After class, you could also choose to take a relaxing stroll through the Parc El Retiro or the Winter Gardens of the Royal Palace. Famous for its busy nightlife, it will be easy to find somewhere amongst the variety of clubs and bars to go out and party with your friends until late into the night.
