English summer school in Sligo

Students stay on the campus of the Sligo Institute of Technology during their 2 to 4-week stay. In addition to the buildings where the students stay, the campus includes a sports hall and a football pitch. Campus accommodation is a safe solution which allows students to take full advantage of the presence of their new friends. The participants, aged between 11 and 17 years, are split up into diffferent groups according to, notably, their age.

Residence
You will stay right beside the course centre, in a residence made up of apartments which can each accommodate a maximum of 3 students. Each apartment has one single room and one double room as well as a bathroom which the students share. A cleaning service for the bedrooms and bathrooms is assured regularly. This accommodation option includes full board. All of the meals are served in the school's canteen. The students' safety is constantly assured by the presence of the camp monitors on-site.

Numerous activities are organised by our partner school in order to allow students to let off steam and to enjoy themselves. The programme includes four activities per week and Friday afternoon is free. Various sports activities (football, basketball, badminton...) are regularly organised. In the evenings, there is a party atmosphere on campus, with discos or barbeques on the beach. It is even possible to learn Irish dancing! The programme wouldn't be complete without an exciting visit of the region! The activities are very well supervised and teachers participate in some activities, in order to interact with the students and to ensure that they speak English most of the time. The Atlantic Ocean brings quite a few nice waves to Sligo, making it an ideal place for surfing. Saturdays are enitrely dedicated to excursions...to places such as Westport, Donegal, Galway or Dublin. You will also be able to take part in an optional activity (as a supplement, reasonable price). Finally, Sundays are free, so will be able to make the most of it to spend time with your new friends, unless you would prefer to revise your English classes! Have fun!
