Our partner school in Westerwald welcomes students aged between 10 and 17 years for English or German courses of all levels. The language is taught in spacious and well-equipped classrooms, and the course centre also has a computer room with Internet access, 2 restaurants, a swimming pool, a bowling alley, ping-pong tables, an indoor sports hall with artificial grass, as well as 2 tennis courts and a multi-sports ground outside. The students stay on-site and are taken care of by the ESL supervision team.

As soon as you arrive in Westerwald, you will sit a test which will allow to evaluate your English knowledge. You will then be placed in a class corresponding to your level. The lessons take place in the morning, from 8.30 to 11.45, and the course material is provided. These 20 weekly periods last 45 minutes each. In the intensive programme, the number of periods per week is brought up to 25, and the classes last until 12.30. The teaching combines the learning of the language, thanks to communication and practice, with interactive training in the group. A mini test taking place every Wednesday morning will allow you to make note of your progress in English!
Each Friday, a more considerable evaluation will take place in order that you may evaluate the progress you have made week after week. The teachers are native English speakers and are qualified and experienced. At the end of the stay, you will receive a certificate attesting to your level of English.

Accommodation

Residence
At the ESL language course centre, you will be able to stay in a very comfortable residence. The triple bedrooms have a private bathroom. This option includes full board. Bedlinen is provided, but bath and beach towels are to be brought with you. The whole of the ESL staff also stays in the course centre.

Leisure

A nice welcome evening is organised for the students when they arrive in the residence, Throughout your stay, the activity coordinators propose a wide choice of activities for all tastes, including visits to an aquatic park, an excursion to Bonn, a visit to Beethoven's house, shopping, a visit to the chocolate museum in Cologne etc. When it comes to sport, you will be able to enjoy the vast leisure space and the various sports facilities available in the course centre, including indoor football, a swimming pool, bowling, tennis and ping-pong. The surrounding nature of the course centre allows for a multitude of additional outdoor activities. In addition, the proximity of Cologne and Bonn assures cultural variety and the necessary entertainment for students.
