Accommodation

Host family
Students are accommodated in host families, in a single room with full board provided. This accommodation option is ideal for taking part in Canadian family life, for immersing yourself in the culture and putting into practice at home when you have learned in class. Carefully selected by our partner school, the host families are used to welcoming international students and offer a friendly and secure environment during your language study stay in Montreal.
Please note: this type of accommodation is best suited to independent students who will be able to get to the school on their own using public transport. In this regard, it will be necessary for the students to buy a bus travel card once they arrive (approximate price for one month: CAD 80.-)

Leisure

Numerous activities and excursions are planned each day by our partner school. If you enjoy sports, games evenings or discovering new horizons, you will love your trip to Montreal! The Biodome (museum of ecology), Planetarium (one of the largest in the world), a visit to the famous underground city or the amazing Biosphere...the school's activities coordinators will bring you on the discovery of several aspects of this extraordinary city. Take part in the various street festivals, visit exciting museums or play baseball or football with your new friends in Westmount Park...every afternoon will be a new adventure! You will also be able to take advantage of the Saturday excursions in order to visit Quebec, Ottawa, Mont-Tremblant,  or even the famous "La Ronde" amusement park! You will spend Sundays with your host family, a nice opportunity to discover Canadian life!

Information

Passport info
If you are of Swiss or European nationality, no visa is necessary to participate in the programme, insofar as you are in possession of a valid passport which is valid for at least six months following your return date, in accordance with current legislation.
Warning! If your flight includes a stopover in the USA, you must be in possession of a valid biometric passport which is valid for at least six months following your return date. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information.

Flight info
Canada is a great destination for a language study trip abroad. However, you must know that the journey to get there is relatively long with, generally, one stopover, depending on which city you are flying from. Most airline companies will be able to offer you an accompaniment service; therefore do not hesitate to contact us for further information. It is necessary, however, that the student feels capable of managing this long journey. Then, all he/she has left to do is to enjoy Canadian life!
