Language school Dublin, International House (IH)

During the summer, our partner school in Dublin proposes English programmes for young people of 11 to 17 years. The students are welcomed, 15km to the north east of Dublin, on the campus of the « Sutton Park School », located on the Howth peninsula. Students will spend the day in the school, where the classes as well as some activities will take place. In addition to the classrooms, the campus includes a multi-purpose centre where students can practise various sports either indoors or outdoors (basketball, tennis, rugby, football, volleyball), an outdoor swimming-pool, a computer room with internet access, and an art room. You will be accommodated in a residence located only a few miles away from the school in the « Deer Park Resort » hotel complex. A typical Irish setting, on the grounds of one of the oldest historical buildings in Ireland, Howth Castle, with, on top of that, a breathtaking view onto Dublin bay. In such ideal learning conditions, you will make the most of your language studies in Dublin in an international environment!

Residence
Students will stay in a residence within the «  Deer Park Resort » complex, only about 10 minutes by bus from the « Sutton Park school ». In this way, students will take advantage from the various facilities offered by the hotel complex : swimming pool, tennis courts, sauna and Turkish baths! Students will be accommodated in triple or quadruple bedrooms with private bathrooms and receive full board. Breakfast and dinner are usually served in the residence cafeteria, while lunch is served in the school. Everything is set up for young students : a bus will pick them up in the morning and take them to school, and after the afternoon activities, they will be taken back home. Finally, activities coordinators stay in the residence so that students are supervised at all times.

Our partner school plans numerous activities for juniors. In Dublin, the afternoons are made for letting off steam and enjoying yourself! Various recreational and sports activities are organised on the school grounds (basketball, volleyball, tennis, football, etc.). Evening activities are also organised by the staff of our partner school, whether it be a disco in the multi-purpose room or cinema under the stars for example. The prize activity is certainly the weekly excursion, which allows students to discover the beauty and riches of Ireland!

Optional sports
Two afternoons per week for 2 hours, you will have the opportunity to practise your favourite sport in facilities located not far from the campus. Transport is organised by the school. You can even combine two options in order to let off steam 4 afternoons per week!
