Language school Salina Bay, Junior programme (13-17 years)

Our partner school is one of the longest established schools on the island and guarantees great quality English teaching, especially designed for native speakers of foreign languages. The school is located on the north coast of the island of Malta. In a small group, with the other international students, you will work in air-conditioned, bright and comfortable classrooms. The highly motivated teachers accompany you on your way to progress in English. Every week, after classes, the school organises sports, recreational and cultural activities and one full-day excursion. In order that you can make the most of your stay in optimal conditions, as soon as you arrive, the teaching team, the activities coordinators and the group leaders will introduce themselves and will be there to accompany you during your stay.

Coastline Residence
The residence which we propose represents a very pleasant accommodation option. Effectively, students stay in the comfortable Coastline Hotel, a few minutes' walk away from the lively St. Paul's Bay and the village of Buggiba, but above all, it is facing the Meditteranean and the magnificent Salina Bay. Each student shares a bedroom with 3 other students of the same sex. All of the bedrooms are equipped with air-conditioning, a TV and a telephone. Some computers with Internet access (paying) are also available. Bedlinen and bathtowels are provided, students bring their own beach towels. When it comes to meals, everything is provided for! The stay includes full board, consisting of a continental breakfast, a packed lunch and a substantial evening meal, in the form of a buffet. In order to get to the school or to the various sites of interest they will visit, the students benefit from the school bus. In the Coastline residence, a member of staff will pass by the bedrooms regularly in order to answer questions and to enquire about the well-being of the students. For even more security, ESL group leaders also stay on-site.

Private bus service
The bus will come to collect you every morning at the residence or at a bus stop close to your host family's house, and will bring you to the school or to the place of an activity. All of the journeys are organised for throughout your day, until the evening when you will be brought back to the residence.

During the activities, the group leaders will bring you to visit Malta. The island's Mediterranean climate guarantees you numerous and splendid seaside activities. You will be brought to fine sand beaches and a full day will be dedicated to an excursion, to the Blue Lagoon, for example. You will also be able to go on a cruise around the island in order to admire the legendary watchtowers which punctuate the coastline, the colourful fishing villages in the south, as well as the rock formations and the grottos which line the island. At "Malta Experience", you will see a multivisual display which will teach you things you didn't know before about the 6000 years of the fabulous history of this island. And you will still have free time left over to go shopping, go swimming, go sunbathing, or quite simply relax beside the swimming pool. At nightfall, a very dynamic nightlife begins. The school organises evening activities on the beach where you will be able to play volleyball, football or even enjoy a barbecue. The school will also offer large outdoor parties or discos (supervised by the school's staff) so that you can dance and have fun with the other students.

"Adventure" option
The “adventure” option is ideal to let off steam after English classes. The activity coordinators offer numerous sports and water activities: Fun water Park, snorkelling, abseiling, canoeing, kayaking or big banana. You can also ride a horse by the sea and of course relax and sunbathe on the beach.

Scuba diving
A paradise for scuba diving, Malta provides excellent conditions to discover the colourful world of the big blue sea. The school offers you to combine an English course with a PADI course (Open Water for beginners or Advanced for more experienced divers) validated by an international certificate. This scuba diving class takes place over 4 sessions per week (one session = a half day).
