During the summer, our partner school welcomes students between 13 and 17 years, only 10 minutes away from the famous Noosa Beach, one of the most reputed surfing spots in Australia. The course centre has 19 modern and air-conditioned classrooms, a language lab and a large library. Internet access is available in the computer room and in order to relax between classes, you will be able to take advantage of the TV lounge or the relaxation area with vending machines for snacks and drinks. The school proposes a complete learning programme and everything is included in the price and is organised down to the smallest details.The students stay with a host family which take responsibility for their meals as well as their daily transport. In addition to the classes, the school proposes a vast programme of original activities, allowing you to discover the magnificent region of Noosa and of Queensland.

In Noosa, the mornings are dedicated to learning English. The programme consists of 15 weekly lessons of 60 minutes, mainly focussed on conversation. The classes are made up of a maximum of 15 students. Our partner school creates classes for the sole attention of junior students, but some students are integrated into a standard class, in order to best meet their needs.

Accommodation

Host family
In Noosa, the participants in the Teen Activity Program stay with a host family. These Australian families are carefully selected by the school in order to guarantee a comfortable stay to students. With the family, you will practise the English language throughout the day...You will stay in a single room and will benefit from full board (breakfast, packed lunch at lunchtime and evening meal). Getting to the school from your acccommodation will pose you no problem as most of the families close-by. If it's not the case, your host family will take responsibility to bring you to the school, and will come to collect you every evening.

Leisure

In Noosa, there is no shortage of outdoor activities! You will take full advantage of the extraordinary nature of the region with your new friends. The daily activities are perfectly supervised and respond to all interests, including walks in the national parks, shopping, introduction to the Aboriginal culture, relaxing on the beach, kayak adventure...From Monday to Friday, you will discover each day new facets of Noosa and its surroundings. You will spend the weekends with your host family, a nice opportunity to discover Australian life!
Please note: The school in Noosa offers a tennis (16.07.12-10.08.12) or surfing (throughout the duration of the camp) option which takes place every day and replaces the afternoon activities programme of GV Noosa. This option is included in the price of the activities programme, but it is necessary to book it in advance.

Passport info
If you are of Swiss or European nationality, you need to be in possession of a valid passport, valid for at least six months following your return date, in order to participate in this programme. You will also need to get an electronic travel authorisation which will be sent to you by your travel agency when you buy your plane tickets or which you can obtain over the Internet. ESL can take care of this formality if you book your tickets through us. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information.

Flight info
Noosa is a great destination for a language study stay. However, you should know that it will take you approximately two days of travelling to get there, with one or two stopovers in Asian countries (generally Singapore, Tokyo, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur or Hong Kong). Most airline companies will be able to offer you an escort service; therefore, please do not hesitate to contact us for further information. Nevertheless, it is necessary that the student feels capable of managing this long journey. Then, all that's left for the student to do is to enjoy Australian life!
