Language school Toronto, Juniors programs (7-17)

School

In order to guarantee the comfort and security of its students, the school makes two university campuses available to students: Glendon College campus for younger students (7-13) and St Michael College campus for older ones (14-17). Students are placed in one of the campuses according to their age. In this way, they can benefit from activities and lessons adapted to the specific needs and interests of their age group. Wherever they are staying, everything is provided on-site: accommodation, classrooms, cafeteria, recreation rooms. In addition, the campuses offer sports courts and internet access. They are both well-located, at the heart of the most comfortable district of Toronto, Lawrence Park. The main tourist attractions of this fascinating metropolis are nearby. The students will experience an unforgettable stay, in a guaranteed multicultural environment. Finally, they will benefit from the 24-hour presence of the school team on campus.

Accommodation

Residence  «Glendon College» (7-13)
In Toronto, the juniors students stay in a residence, within the York University campus, where they also attend classes. Security is assured at all times. Single rooms as well as double and triple rooms are available. The stay includes full board, the meals are served three times a day in the campus cafeteria. On the campus, students will also be able to access large gardens, various sports fields as well as the University library. Each residence is equipped with a games room, and you find a lounge with a television on every floor. Finally, Internet access is offered.

Residence  « St Michael’s » (14-17)
Older students stay on St Michael’s campus. They will be accommodated in single or double bedrooms and will share the bathrooms. Each residence has a TV room and recreation areas, as well as sports courts, a gym and football tables, to allow students to meet up and spend nice moments together. The three daily meals are served in the campus cafeteria, except on excursion days, when students will be given packed lunches. The classrooms are located less than 5 minutes by foot from the residence! Internet access as well as a paying laundry room are available on campus.

Leisure

In order to guarantee students a stay under the sign of entertainment and friendship, the school organises numerous activities. A chance to let off steam, go up against your friends, but above all to enjoy yourself, sports are frequently on the programme, with a choice of swimming, badminton or even karate classes...a wide range of activities! Parties are regularly organised on the campus. Giant barbeques or «ice cream parties», many a laugh in sight! Finally, the weekends are the opportunity to head off on the discovery of Toronto, through excursions to places such as the astounding Niagara Falls, the wacky Canada's Wonderland amusement park or even the panoramic CN Tower...so many treasures to discover. All of the activities are included in the price. In order to make the programme more interesting for students of 14 to 17, all the activities are organised as group projects to entice students to participate actively in them and practise their English. Care to show off your talents?

For even more fun, you can participate in optional excursions, available at an extra cost, and have the opportunity to visit Montréal or Quebec, for example (see options/extras).

Flight info
Canada is a great destination for a language study trip abroad. However, you must know that the journey to get there is relatively long with, generally, one stopover, depending on which city you are flying from. Most airline companies will be able to offer you an accompaniment service; therefore do not hesitate to contact us for further information. It is necessary, however, that the student feels capable of managing this long journey. Then, all he/she has left to do is to enjoy Canadian life!
