Installed in an elegant building, the school has a large garden, a terrace and an outdoor heated swimming pool. The Eastbourne centre, accredited by the British Council and member of English UK, offers a quality academic environment. The centre is adapted to students of all ages from 14 years upwards and offers them an enriching and international study environment. In Eastbourne, the facilities include multimedia equipment with free Internet access, video recorders, a DVD library and a language lab. A well-equipped learning library provides students with a quiet corner for studying in peace and the lively canteen looks out onto the terrace and the gardens.

The programme proposed to people aged from 14 years and over, is designed for short-term (from two weeks throughout the year) and long-term English language learning. With its two and three-semester programmes, it is the ideal solution if you intend to study English for a duration longer than six months. The curriculum includes 28 lessons of General English per week, and the classes accommodate a maximum of 12 students. For long-term programmes, the starting dates take place once per month. Thanks to this long-term programme. you will benefit from special reductions for the courses and accommodation. You will have the possibility of adding, depending on your wishes, special courses, like, for example, Business English or English for Tourism, but also exam preparation courses such as the Cambridge exams, IELTS or TOEFL. The St. Giles college has an academic guidance and university placement service. A total immersion of six or nine months in the English language and culture is an extremely enriching linguistic and human experience which will be useful to you for life.

Accommodation

Host family
As accommodation is part of your learning experience, the school selects with particular care the native-English host families in which the students will be placed. Depending on availability, two students of the same mother tongue will not be placed in the same family. Half-board accommodation is provided, with breakfast and the evening meal included. This experience will provide you with precious memories and the privileged contacts you'll have with the family members will allow you to maybe establish links that you will keep your entire life.

Leisure

In order to complete your studies and to encourage you to use your English in a social context, a complete programme of activities and excursions will be proposed to you. Salsa classes, for example, as well as cinema, theatre, karaoke or disco evenings, are organised. During your free time, you will be able to go up against your friends in karting, a laser game or bowling, If you prefer outdoor activities, you may opt for cycling or horse riding, or quite simply for a walk on the beach and its surroundings. A coastal town, Eastbourne offers all imaginable water sports. Excursions to London, Cambridge and Dublin are organised by the staff of St. Giles college. A visit to the neighbouring region of Beachy Head is particularly worth going on. Its majestic chalk cliff, 160 metres high and overhaning the ocean, offers a extraordinary view and a unique landscape in Great Britain.
