Language school Edinburgh, Strathallan Campus (12-16 ans)

Ideally located in the beautiful county of Perthshire in Scotland and set in an immense 60-hectare estate, the campus has the advantage of being close to the big historical cities of this region like Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth and the prestigious city of St Andrews. The school was founded in 1913 and has been welcoming young learners in its superb facilities since then. Everything can be found on the same site: the school building, the accommodation and the sports facilities. The activities offered may take place in the sports hall (football, basketball, badminton), in the indoor swimming pool, on the outdoor playing fields or on the tennis courts. If you opt for a combined course (Course+ football, golf or horse-riding), you will be supervised by qualified instructors. There is also a theatre room and a disco room on-site, where you will be able to spend your evenings amongst friends.

Residence
Easy to go back to your room if you have forgotten something – it is just steps away! On the campus, several houses accommodate students from the four corners of the world, who develop into a real temporary community here. During sports competitions, you will play and defend the colours of « your » house! Boys and girls are separated and supervised night and day by the attentive staff. The meals are served in the communal dining hall. The lounge with TV is ideal to chat with your friends after classes. You will stay in a room with 2, 3 or 6 beds and share the bathrooms with the other residents (one bathroom per 5 students). You can access the Internet on the computers available in the computer room or via the school's free Wi-Fi network.

Ever afternoon, you will join your international friends for sports and recreational activities or excursions. You will take part in volleyball or football tournaments, prepare for the talent show of the evening or head off to Edinburgh to do some shopping. An afternoon will be dedicated to visiting St Andrews. Upon your return, you can always take a dip in the swimming pool or compete with a friend on the tennis court! On Sundays, an optional excursion will take you to a themed park or to another beautiful region of Scotland. In the evening, there will be activities of all kinds: disco parties, international nights, movie evenings or sports activities – you will not notice the time passing on this extraordinary campus!
The qualified and attentive staff of the school supervises all of the activities and excursions.

Optional courses:

English + football
In addition to the general English course, you will attend football training 3 afternoons per week. You will be coached by assistant trainers of the legendary Celtic Football Club – a real chance for all football buffs!

English + golf
In addition to your general English course, you will have the opportunity to practise your golf swing, instructed by a professional coach! You will play on the local course, which is located 20 minutes away by private bus, and will also visit the British Golf Museum, located near the famous St Andrews golf course.
Please note: participants must bring their own equipment

English + horse riding
After your English classes, you will make the most out of three afternoons per week to ride beautiful horses in a horse riding club,  just a 15-minute ride away by private bus. Supervised by an activity leader from the centre, you will learn how to ride like a Queen’s Horse Guard!

Please note: it is not possible to combine a sports option with an intensive course during the same week.
