Language school Canterbury, Summer camp (7-12)

On this small and friendly British campus, the younger students will feel right at home and enjoy first class leisure facilities in complete safety! Ideally located in a splendid red brick 16th-century manor, the school is perfectly fitted to welcome children from 7 to 12 and is set in a large enclosed park of over 80 acres on the banks of River Stour. The campus also includes a modern sports hall, a swimming pool as well as outdoor sports fields and tennis courts where the students will be able to practise their favourite sports under the constant supervision of the competent school staff - 1 staff per 9 students. A green and tranquil setting, just 10 minutes from Canterbury’s heritage centre – it is a great place to discover England in an international environment!

The residence is located in the building where the courses take place, so the younger learners will just have to walk down to the first floor to go to class in the morning! They will stay in shared rooms with 4 to 6 beds and use the communal bathrooms - one bathroom per four students. Please note that the residence is equipped with furniture especially adapted to the size of young children. The participants will be able to meet up in the welcoming communal room with TV and video game consoles and use the multimedia equipment of the computer room. Finally, varied and healthy meals will be served in the light cafeteria of the campus, which is located in a building adjacent to the residence.

Every afternoon and at weekends, the Canterbury language school offers younger learners a varied and exciting leisure programme that is sure to make them happy! The children will have the opportunity to display their artistic talents during arts and crafts activities adapted to their age - T-shirt dyeing, face painting – and to let steam off by practising many sports such as badminton, swimming, tennis, football or else basketball.
This language course will also allow them to discover the beautiful town of Canterbury during outings supervised by the qualified activity leaders of the school. For instance, they will visit the museum dedicated to the comic book character “Rupert the Bear”, do a river tour and discover the famous Cathedral of Canterbury. And the students will also enjoy themselves during themed evenings - karaoke, bowling, games, disco evenings, treasure hunts and talent nights will be organised!
During the week, the younger learners will also participate in one full day and one half day excursions that will take them to the Howletts Wild Animal Park, to Cambridge, Brighton, Leeds Castle or else to beautiful London. Needless to say, this language study trip will be packed with discoveries!
