Language school Santa Barbara, UCSB Campus (14-17)

The juniors programme, which welcomes young people between 14 and 17 years, takes place on the campus itself of the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB), at the heart of the city centre. What a unique opportunity to be inspired by the lifestyle of Californian students, made famous through numerous televised soap operas! Our partner school makes modern and functional facilities available to you. The school has bright and spacious classrooms and various common rooms where Internet access is free. A common room with a TV, table tennis and table football tables will allow you to meet the other international students. The campus is ideally situated on Sola Street, a picturesque and dynamic district with cafés, restaurants, historical attractions and shops. Follow the example of the Californians who dedicate themselves to study in the morning...but who would not give up sports activities in the afternoon for anything in the world! The beach is 15 minutes' walk away and there are parks nearby. On the campus itself, you will find tennis and basketball courts, a swimming pool, an athletics track and a volleyball court.

Residence
In the very comfortable residence of the school, situated on the same campus of the university, you will stay in a double room and share the bathroom with the occupants of another bedroom. The bedrooms are equipped with beds, desks, chests of drawers and wardrobes for storing your clothes. Bedlinen is provided. A paying laundry room is also available for use. You will benefit from full board during the week, from breakfast and dinner on Saturdays and from breakfast only on Sundays. In addition, you have access to all of the facilities of the university campus. Finally, in order to ensure optimal supervision, the school's staff stays on-site.

After the effort - relaxation! The afternoons of student life in California are dedicated to sport or social and cultural activities. Every day after lunch, from Monday to Friday, the school organises sports activities and brings the students on hikes, jogging, outings for cycling or rollerblading, to the swimming pool or to the beach. Visits to museums, to the botanical garden, to the zoo or to the courthouse will also be scheduled. After the evening meal, in the evening, you will be able to use the various campus facilities and meet up with the other students from the four corners of the world for interesting discussions and exchanges. You will have daily results of newly acquired language! And at the weekend, it's time for discoveries. Every Sunday, a full-day excursion is organised. You will have the opportunity to see Los Angeles, the "Six Flags" amusement park, Universal Studios, Hollywood or Melrose. And if this sounds tempting to you, you will also be able to decide to sign up for Disneyland, proposed as an optional excursion at an extra charge. Surfing option
Surfing lessons are supervised by qualified instructors and take place 3 or 5 afternoons per week. Make the most out of Californian beaches!
