ESL – École Suisse de Langues

The ESL course centre is situated on a hill overlooking Cannes, on a real university campus! Classrooms, a restaurant, a residence, everything is on-site! The complex is nestled at the heart of a verdant park and makes an outdoor swimming pool, sports grounds but also several common rooms to meet up available to its students, without forgetting the auditorium and the cinema situated on the same site as the campus. You will learn French in large, bright classrooms with modern equipment in the company of other students from the four corners of the world. In order to assure optimal supervision, the ESL teachers stay on the campus and are at the disposal of the students on a 24-hour basis.

Residence
The residence where you will stay in a single or double room is located only a stone's throw away from the classrooms. In each bedroom, you will find a desk for working after classes, a sink and storage space for your clothes etc. The toilets and showers are situated on the floor. Bedlinen will be provided to you but you will have to bring your own bath towels. A cafeteria will allow you to meet up with your new friends, unless you would prefer to assemble in the TV area. All meals will be taken in the ESL restaurant, located only a few minutes' walk from the bedrooms, except in the case of an excursion where you will be given a packed lunch.

Start off the week with a barbecue evening! These barbecues are very much appreciated by the students who find it an excellent oppportunity to get together in a relaxed atmosphere in order to get to know each other. But don't forget about sports, as football pitches, basketball courts and an athletics track are located within the campus grounds. If you enjoy swimming, the swimming pool is close at hand, and of course, outings to the beaches of the Mediterranean are organised. Not only will you participate in sports and fun activities during the week, but also excursions will be proposed to you at the weekends in order to discover the Côte d’Azur and the Provence Alps. What a programme! Walk along like a star in front of the Palais du Festival de Cannes, on the famous Promenade des Anglais in Nice or in front of the Casino de Monte Carlo in Monaco. Don't forget your camera! All of the activities and excursions are organised by the school and supervised by the ESL teachers. For those who like tennis and diving, you can book optional courses (see supplements) which will allow you to improve your sports techniques and at the same time admire the ocean depths!
