Our partner school's course centre is situated at the heart of Montreux, only a stone's throw away from the central train station and 5 minutes' walk away from the the shores of Lake Geneva. This modern and welcoming school has spacious, bright and well-equipped classrooms. A common room with computers and free Internet connection allows students to work independently or to relax after classes. The building is also equipped with a sports hall and a cafeteria where meals are served at lunchtime.

The French classes take place in the morning and are given by qualified and experienced teachers. The teaching, which is personalised and motivating, is based on a modern and interactive teaching approach so that you will make progress without even realising it! The school offers a standard course (20 lessons per week) or an intensive course (25 lessons per week). The standard course includes 4 lessons per day whilst the intensive course includes 1 extra lesson per day dedicated to conversation as well as listening and reading comprehension.

Communication course
In order to deal with real situations of everyday life, a specific communication course will allow you to learn to speak French with ease. This course takes place twice a week at the rate of 2x45 minutes.

One-to-one course
Ideal for making progress quickly, this course gives you the benefit on entirely personalised teaching. The teacher is at your entire disposal and will prepare a tailor-made programme for you. This course is given at a rate of 5 lessons of 45 minutes per week. (Little availability).

Please note: it is not possible to take a communication course and a one-to-one course lesson in the same week.

Accommodation

Host family
The school personally selects the families in charge of welcoming young students. The students stay in a double room, shared with another participant. This accommodation option is one of the best ways to immerse yourself totally in the culture of the region. In this way, thanks to daily contact with the family, you will learn how to express yourself directly in French and to get to know the mentality and the way of life of the French-speaking Swiss.

Please note: this type of accommodation is best suited to independent students who will be able to get to the school on their own using public transport.

Leisure

The school plans a leisure activities programme which includes numerous sports and cultural activities, including beach volleyball, swimming, evenings beside the lake or the discovery of the region...You will not have time to get bored after your French classes. In order to discover the treasures of the region, two excursions are organised each week, one half-day excursion and one full-day excursion, including visits to Vevey and its "Alimentarium" museum, a steamboat crossing on Lake Geneva, a visit to Lausanne and the Olympics museum...Finally, optional activities at an extra charge such as tennis, horseriding, excursions to Aquaparc or for shopping in Lausanne can be directly booked every Monday on site.

Please note: it is not possible to combine an optional activity and a communication or one-to-one course lesson in the same week.
