German summer school in Berlin

Our DID partner school is located in Berlin city centre, in the «Prenzlauer Berg» district, one of the most pleasant districts of the city. The school building is in a quiet interior courtyard and is only a stone's throw away from fashionable galleries, trendy boutiques and numerous cafés. In addition, the famous Tiergarten, one of the lungs of the city, is only a few underground stops away. You will study German in a former factory which has been completely renovated in the very lively Schönhauser Allee. The spacious classrooms have modern and functional equipment with Internet access. You will constantly be able to use your new language knowledge with your new friends who come from different backgrounds. Every day, sports and cultural activities are proposed in the afternoons and evenings. On Saturdays, you will make new discoveries in the capital or in other neighbouring cities such as Potsdam.

Residence
All of the classrooms, the cafeteria and the accommodation are located in one sole building which is good as there is no travelling involved. The DID school exclusively proposes accommodation in its residence. You will share your room with 2 or 3 other students. In your bedroom, you will have the use of a bathroom with a shower and a wardrobe with a safe for putting your personal belongings. You are provided with full board on-site. The staff members who supervise the camp stay in this same residence, are available on a 24-hour basis and assure immediate assistance when needed.

Discover Berlin
From the German Parliament to the National Art Gallery, passing by a visit to the Zoo and the beaches of the city centre, you won't have time to get bored in Berlin. The group leaders who know the city well will take charge of organising cultual and historical visits in order that you can make the most out of your stay in the capital. The central location of the residence allows for easy access to most of the interesting sites of this magnificent city which overfiows with energy.

Activities and excursions
On the programme after classes: two activities per day! The first, in the afternoon, will mainly propose cultural and sports outings, whilst the evening activity is generally dedicated to fun activities: cinema, karaoke, barbecue...This promises you relaxation and fun, following an already full day! Every Saturday, the school's group leaders will bring you on the discovery of Berlin, Potsdam or the beaches of the Wannsee lake for example during a full-day excursion.
