Our partner school welcomes you in a peaceful district, just a stone’s throw away from the town centre. Discover Ireland and learn English an authentic setting! Situated on the coast, Galway is an ideal town in which to spend a study holiday. The school is very friendly and takes great care of its students. It offers them a unique experience, combining lessons of excellent quality with a variety of activities. It has a dynamic and experienced team of teachers, guides, and sports counsellors to welcome and motivate young students.

Courses

Mornings are dedicated to English lessons, 24 lessons of 45 minutes are planned every week. Teaching is carried out by enthusiastic staff, experienced in communicating their mother tongue to young students. These students are divided into different classes depending on their level, and each class is made up of a maximum of 15 pupils. In addition to the English language, you will have the opportunity to discover the Irish history and culture - that will not fail to fascinate you! 

Accommodation

Host family
Staying in a host family is an unforgettable experience, as it enables you to participate in the daily life of an Irish family and to learn about its habits and routines. You will travel to the school by bus, and will need to allow about 20 minutes for the journey. You will enjoy full board (breakfast, a picnic at midday and an evening meal). Students generally sleep in a double room, sharing with another student of a different mother tongue. Accommodation in a single room as well as a room shared with a brother, sister or friend are possible on request.

Leisure

From Monday to Thursday Atlantic Language School organizes group activities, while Friday afternoon is free. The programme features a lot of sport: tennis and football tournaments, swimming, basketball, etc. Other activities include cultural workshops (dance, theatre or music for example), a tour of the city or a boat trip on the Corrib river. Twice a week, the school organizes evening activities such as a disco or treasure hunt, so that you can let your hair down and speak English! Finally, your weekends will be nice and busy: every Saturday a one day excursion is organised, to the Cliffs of Moher, Connemara or Bunratty Castle for example.
