Situated in the north-east to Malta, close to the magnificent St. Paul's Bay and Bugibba Bay, the school benefits from a privileged and unique location in a typically Mediterranean environment. At the horizon, an azure blue sea comes quietly to brush up against the beach. In order to relax after a busy day, you will be able to make use out of the common rooms, the terraces and the sun-soaked clear water.

Courses

Each week, you will have 20 English lessons from Monday to Friday (or from Monday to Saturday when Wednesday is dedicated to a sea outing). The 4 daily lessons last for 45 minutes each and take place from 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. with a break of 30 minutes (from 10.30 to 11.00). Depending on the number of participants and the distribution of levels, it may occur that some classes take place in the afternoon and not in the morning. On the first day, you sit a test to check your level, after which you will be placed in a class made up of a maximum of 15 international students of the same level.

Accommodation

Coastline Residence
The residence, which is in fact a superb 4-star hotel, which we propose represents a very pleasant accommodation option. Effectively, students stay in the comfortable Coastline Hotel, a few minutes' walk away from the lively St. Paul's Bay and the village of Buggiba, but above all, it is facing the Meditteranean and the magnificent Salina Bay. Each student shares a bedroom with 3 other students of the same sex. All of the bedrooms are equipped with air-conditioning, a TV and a telephone. Some computers with Internet access (paying) are also available. Bedlinen and bathtowels are provided, students bring their own beach towels. When it comes to meals, everything is provided for! The stay includes full board, consisting of a continental breakfast, a packed lunch and a substantial evening meal, in the form of a buffet. In order to get to the school or to the various sites of interest they will visit, the students benefit from the EC school bus. In the Coastline residence, a member of staff will pass by the bedrooms regularly in order to answer questions and to enquire about the well-being of the students. For even more security, ESL group leaders also stay on-site.

Leisure

The "Adventure" programme is ideal for letting off steam after English lessons in the morning. The activities coordinators propose numerous sports and water activities every afternoon: Fun Water Park, diving (with flippers, diving mask and snorkel), windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking, big banana... you will also be able to go horse-riding on the beach, shopping at La Valetta and of course relax and sunbathe on the beach. The school activities coordinators will also introduce you to the treasures of Malta on a sea excursion in a traditional boat or a visit to the famous Blue Cave at the south of the island, close to the village of Zurrieq. An entire day will be spent on a trip to Sicily to discover Taormina and the legendary Mount Etna. In the evening... party time. The school organises themed outings and parties, including a pizza evening in Valleta, paintball, a BBQ on the beach, discos and games. You will spend many unforgettable moments with your new friends. Don't forget your camera!

Scuba diving course
A paradise of underwater diving, Malta offers optimal conditions (even for beginners) for discovering the multicoloured world of the Big Blue. EC proposes combining an English course with a PADI diving course (Open Water or Advanced), validated by an international certificate. This diving course takes place every afternoon during the week and Saturdays are devoted to a full-day sea outing.

Sailing course
The sailing programme is aimed at fans of sailing (whatever their level) who wish to discover and improve coastal navigation techniques. Following the morning English classes, you will sail in the waters of the Maltese archipelago during the afternoon (12p.m., 4 afternoons). This sailing and navigation course, supervised by professional skippers, will be validated by an international RYA (Royal Yachting Association) certificate.
