Actilingua
Our partner is a private school founded in 1988, recognised on an international level thanks to its successful course program, excellent teaching setting and modern equipment. This school for young people between 12 and 16 years of age is located in the centre of Vienna: different attractions are easily accessed on foot or by public transport. At the centre of the campus, there is a large park with numerous sporting facilities such as a football field, beach volleyball court and tennis court, which are available for you to use after classes. The teachers organise recreational activities on the school grounds and will take you to discover the most beautiful parts of Vienna. Actilingua is an established language school that is recognised on a world scale.

Courses

Lessons are given from Monday to Friday in small groups of a maximum of 15 students. Summer programs of all levels last 2, 3 or 5 weeks, and include 20 lessons of 45 minutes per week. The lessons are well structured; you will work on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and listening comprehension. Educational activities, work in pairs or in groups, immersion in everyday situations and numerous language games are included in the teaching methods.

Accommodation

Residence
You will be accommodated directly on the campus in spacious rooms with two to six beds. A room will be assigned to you the day you arrive, taking into account to the greatest extent possible your wishes concerning your roommates. As a general rule, an effort is made to mix students of the same age and different nationalities. Full board is included in your accommodation (Austrian and international cooking) and the young people are supervised 24 hours a day.

It is important to set aside EUR 12 per week (approx. CHF20) for public transport in Vienna.

Leisure

Sports and leisure activities
The staff at Actilingua organise a varied program for weekends and after classes. Various sports are offered: beach volleyball, football, pin-pong, mini-Olympiads or swimming.

Creative activities
You can create your own handiwork, play an instrument or learn how to dance the famous Viennese waltz. You can also join a theatre or pantomime group.

Social and cultural activities
The staff organise excursions, film screenings, paper chases, BBQ dinners and discos at the school itself, plus tours of the city, karaoke and welcome and farewell parties.

Optional activities

Tennis:
Students who like to play tennis can take tennis classes in small groups with a teacher. Don’t forget to bring your tennis racquet!

Vienna special:
For lovers of the Viennese culture, a half-day excursion is offered each week. We will take you to see the palaces, museums, theatres and opera house.

Excursions:
Those who would like to get to know Austria better can go on numerous excursions, to Salzbourg, Rosenburg castle or Neusiedlersee for example. And don’t miss the opportunity to attend multiple concerts or see a musical comedy.
