The school is located in the Schönberg district, a central, beautiful and animated part of Berlin. The city’s main attractions are close by, as are all the main public transport stations. The school is distinguished by its family atmosphere, where each participant can benefit from individual attention. This spirit is highlighted by the lessons, which are given to a maximum of 10 students per class. Students can also take advantage of the cafeteria, an ideal place to meet people and practise the language.

Courses

Standard program
Lessons: 22 of 45 minutes (20 general German + 2 specific lessons)
The first 20 hours are dedicated to general German lessons, while the last 2 are specific lessons, related to the German culture and personal development. You can, for example, create your CV in German, practise telephone conversation or prepare for job interviews. The themes of these workshops are very flexible and the teachers are always ready to listen to your wishes and requirements. Thanks to the extended length of this program and the reduced class sizes, the teachers can follow your progress and acquisition of the language on an individual basis. The program allows you to attain a solid level of competence and offers you the possibility of validating this with an internationally recognised certificate. Preparation for the official exams ZD or ZMP takes place during the last four weeks of classes. This preparation specifically for the certificates then replaces the hours of general German.

Intensive program (standard plus)
Lessons: 32 of 45 minutes (22 general German + 10 mini-group lessons)
This program offers the same German lessons as the Standard course, but with 10 additional hours of mini-group lessons (maximum of 5 students per class).
These lessons allow the teacher to give particular attention to each student and provide an opportunity to approach specific themes, according the the needs and interests of the participants.

Accommodation

Host family
Accommodation is offered in host families, which allows for a better immersion in the life and culture of Germany. The families are chosen with care and are inspected regularly to guarantee quality and the best possible environment for the length of your stay. Easily reached on foot or by public transport, the houses are never very far from the school. Bedrooms are single and entirely furnished, but the bathroom is often shared. The family will prepare your breakfast and evening meal, while at midday the school and its surrounds offer you a variety of lunch options.

Leisure

Three times per week, as well as during the day on Saturdays, the school organises cultural activities and sports for all students. Visits to museums and excursions will allow you to discover the German culture, while numerous sporting activities will give you the chance to relax and meet students of all nationalities. These outings are free, with the exception of possible entrance tickets to a specific event, and are supervised by one or more teachers from the school. Berlin is an attractive city that is particularly rich and varied, so take advantage of these activities to discover it with your friends!
