Our partner school has its premises in a magnificent building only a stone's throw away from Lake Maggiore. The 16th century cloister and the buildings containing the sports facilities offer a subtle blend of history and modernity. The course centre proposes first-class teaching and sports facilities, including volleyball and basketball courts, football pitches, comfortable and well-equipped classrooms (audiovisual material, overhead projectors), a computer room with free Internet access, an auditorium, a cinema and a games room with table football and a pool table.

The course centre proposes first-class teaching and sports facilities, including volleyball and basketball courts, football pitches, comfortable and well-equipped classrooms (audiovisual material, overhead projectors), a computer room with free Internet access, an auditorium, a cinema and a games room with table football and a pool table.

The lessons last for 45 minutes each and take place from Monday to Friday from 8.30 a.m. to 11.45 a.m. or 8.30 a.m. to 12.30 a.m. (intensive course). The experience, competent and enthusiastic teachers are all native Italian speakers. The classes are organised by level and contain a maximum of 14 students. On the day they arrive, students sit a test which evaluates their level and the class which will be best suited to them. Tests on Fridays and mini-tests on Wednesdays are especially designed to precisely estimate the progress students make each week. At the end of the camp, you will receive an ESL certificate attesting your Italian language level.

Communication course
In order to deal with real situations of everyday life, a specific communication course will allow you to learn to speak Italian with ease, This course takes place twice a week at a rate of 2x45 minutes.

One-to-one course
Ideal for making progress quickly, this course gives you the benefit of entirely personalised teaching. The teacher is entirely at your disposal and will prepare a tailor-made programme for you. This course is given at a rate of 5 lessons of 45 minutes per week. (Little availability)

Please note: it is not possible to take a communication course and a one-to-one course lesson in the same week.

Residence
In Ascona, student stay in a residence in double or triple bedrooms which are laid out like modern studios with a mezzanine and private bathroom. The «Casa Sant-Amalia» residence is situated 200 metres away from the course centre and the school's group leaders stay on-site in order to watch over the safety and well-being of the students. The accommodation includes full board. All meals are taken in the cafeteria, except on Wednesday evening when a "Beach Party" is organised, A student lounge is also available for you to relax in, watch a DVD or quite simply chat with your friends.

Residence
In Ascona, student stay in a residence in double or triple bedrooms which are laid out like modern studios with a mezzanine and private bathroom. With such possibilities as football, handball, table tennis, badminton, hiking, swimming, beach games and beach volleyball, you will be spoilt for choice for letting off steam after classes. The school's activities coordinators propose numerous sports every afternoon but also board games, tournaments, quizzes, cluedo or treasure hunts. All of these activities allow you to get to know the other students in the school and to practise Italian whilst enjoying yourself. During excursions, you will discover Bellinzona, Locarno or Lugano and lovers of art and histroy will be more than happy, as will shopping fans. From the cinema to discos passing by BBQ evenings beside the lake, in Ascona, every party has good surprises in store. Optional activities, at an extra charge, such as the gym or golf, may also be booked on-site.
