Malta language study abroad

The splendid island of Malta, in the centre of the Mediterranean, is the ideal place for learning English if you like the sun, swimming and making new friends. Malta has a rich and fascinating history. A British colony since the beginning of the 19th century, the island attained independence in 1964. Mediterranean culture dominates there, but 150 years of British presence has had a lasting effect on the country. English is one of the two official languages of Malta. The Maltese drive on the left side of the road and breakfast there is typically English. The main newspapers are in English. In the summer, students come to Malta from all over the world for language programmes and to enjoy fabulous holidays. Malta appeals to everyone with its gentle climate, clear water, cafes, superb boutiques and hectic nightlife. EC Malta also organizes parties and disco evenings specially intended for students. Our partner school also offers high-quality academic programmes, given in ideal conditions for learning whilst enjoying superb and active holidays. Return to introduction...
