Sumptuous scenery, a people of extraordinary generosity, cultural and artistic richness… Scotland is like a recipe for a subtle dish. The fruit of the marriage of diverse ingredients that give it a character completely its own. Despite the weather, which is sometimes gloomy, it’s impossible to remain indifferent to the spectacle before you. Between heaths, moors, lakes and waterfalls, Scotland is best discovered slowly and savoured quietly while waiting for a ray of sunshine to reveal all its beauty. And then there are the legends that go along with this country. They say that numerous castles are haunted by chained phantoms. You would without doubt know of Nessie who, according to legend, has swum in Loch Ness, in the north of the country, for several generations. You can believe these legends and all the others too, if you wish. It adds to the mystery of Scotland, but certainly don’t risk overlooking those who inhabit this country. Hospitality is not a legend here and it will astonish you. Scotland cherishes its past, but has not forgotten to turn towards the future. Edinburgh and Glasgow are dynamic and modern cities, with their heritage, their pubs, shops and music festivals. The Scots are a proud people, proud of their history, their culture and once you have seen their country, you can only share their enthusiasm.
