Despite its reduced dimensions (seven kilometres long and 4 kilometres wide), the island, situated at the centre of the Filipino archipelago, to the north-west of Panay Island, is one of the most beautiful islands of the Philippines. Manila is one hour away by plane and it will take you only around twenty minutes to reach Boracay by boat from one of the two closest airports (Kalibo and Katiklan). Life is quiet on Boracay Island, most visitors spend their days at the beach, bask on the white sand or swim in the deep turquoise sea. All water and underwater activities are evidently the order of the day, as nature has spoilt this island and its beaches.
