Language studies in Lindau

The island town of Lindau is situated on the waters of Lake Constance, itself located on the border between southern Germany and eastern Switzerland. Originally a simple fishing village, the town has branched out into the surrounding villages and now has close to 26,000 inhabitants.
In summer, Lindau transforms into a very popular resort, and it’s not for nothing that it’s known as "the holiday island”. Measuring 900m long, and 400m wide, the island is perfect for exploring on foot. A seawall, built in 1853, allows you to reach the continent easily by train or by car. Cities such as Zurich (CH), Constance, Munich or Stuttgart are located between 100 and 200 kilometres from Lindau. There are many things to do on this little island. For those who like being on the move, you can practise, among other things, sports such as horse riding, wind surfing, tennis or golf. The highlight of the year in Lindau is the summer season, rich in classical music concerts. In winter, the Alps and their ski resorts are close by. In Lindau, sports enthusiasts, music lovers as well as lovers of good food and good wine will be kept more than satisfied.
