My name is David Nguyen. I was born in Fribourg, Switzerland, and I’m currently studying art in Lausanne. When I was a child, I started making short films with an old family camera and drawing comics. Now that I’m 23 years old, I’m still developing these two passions thanks to my studies.
As well as staying physically fit, I think that having a good knowledge of multiple languages is also very important – it helps you become more open-minded and smarter! To me, travelling is essential, as each trip is a unique adventure that makes my soul develop more than I could imagine!
This trip to Berlin is an amazing opportunity, because it’s young city full of energy, with an extraordinary cultural mix. It will surely stimulate my creativity!
Hi there, my name is Annina Mueller and I am a Swiss girl studying business administration in St. Gallen, Switzerland. However, I am certainly not a nerdy student sitting behind my desk all day.
I love to go out, explore and meet new people. My biggest passion is travelling – during my gap year, I went backpacking in Australia, Bali and Singapore. Not only did I get to know foreign cultures and see amazing scenery, but I also learned a lot about myself. I was able to broaden my horizons, which made me very happy. Furthermore, I began to practice yoga in Bali, which has been a big hobby of mine ever since. It helps me calm down after a stressful day and regain my energy.
Finally, I would describe myself as a proactive, open-minded, motivated and communicative person – always up for new challenges.
My name is Vanessa, I’m 29 and I’m a travel blogger. I’m originally from Côte d’Azur, but I work in Geneva in the digital marketing industry. I’ve lived in France, Germany, the UK and, more recently, French Polynesia for almost 3 years.
I’m a traveller by nature, and I find destinations that are completely different from my normal environment very enriching. I speak 3 languages and I’ve always loved the learning process, especially through total immersion (1 year in England and 6 months in Germany).
I think that this is the best way to understand a country. This is why the experience in Kobe offered by ESL is terrific; for years I’ve dreamed about Japan, as I’m extremely fascinated by the contrast between its cultural traditions and technological advances. Nonetheless, the language barrier is significant and this immersion will allow me to create a bond with the locals and have a unique adventure.
Hey there! I’m Andrea. I’m a passionate traveller, videographer, photographer, GreenRope board member, creative, enthusiastic about sport and personal development, a biologist and a positive energy producer! But most importantly I am your travel blogger for Cape Town, South Africa!
Since I was a child reading the adventures of “Corto Maltese”, I have always been curious about Africa and its warm and true colours, so different from all the others continents. That’s why now I can’t wait to have this wonderful experience!
I do thing that learning a language is like opening a door straight into a whole new world: a world made of an incredible variety of cultures, lifestyles, stories and especially people. It lets you confront yourself with all this, which basically means discovering a new life! And what goes with all this more perfectly than travel? Doing them together just means living life to the fullest. Let’s do it!
Hi everyone! My name is Sheila, I’m 26 and I live in Barcelona, my favourite city in the world. I love to travel, discover new cultures and learn languages, since I love meeting people from different countries.
A couple of years ago I had the opportunity to experience life abroad for a few months and it was the most important decision I ever made! You have no idea how much it will change you to travel somewhere far from what you’re used to and your comfort zone. Not only do you grow professionally by mastering another language, but also personally as you discover you’re capable of so much more than you thought possible.
Thanks to ESL, in a few months I’ll be in Sydney having the time of my life. I still can’t believe it! It’s a very special city for me and I know I’m going to have an amazing time. I’ll lose myself in the city streets and beaches and I promise to show you everything I can along the way. I invite you to accompany me on this journey – I’m sure it won’t leave you cold. We’re going to AUSTRALIA!
