Seize the unique opportunity to share the daily life with a local family! By choosing this option, you will get an undeniable added value: the total immersion in the language and lifestyle of Melbourne’s inhabitants. Families live about 30-40 minutes away from the school (by public transport) and offer single rooms with half board. Melbourne’s cultural diversity can also be found in the host families’ roots – you will certainly appreciate their openness and the exciting discussions with your hosts!
2Stay shared apartments (from 18 years, min. 4 weeks / max. 12 weeks)
This accommodation option will give you more independence. You will share an apartment with other international students and stay in a single or twin room, in which case you would stay with a student of the same gender as you. In the common areas (bathroom, kitchen, living room), you will have the opportunity to meet your flatmates from all over the world and forge lasting relationships. Free Wi-Fi and a paying laundry are available and it will take you 20-25 minutes to reach the school by bus.
The school offers an activity programme that will allow you and your classmates to discover the main attractions in Melbourne: museums and art galleries, local markets, botanical gardens, the Federation Square area and much more. During the weekend, the school organises excursions towards the Great Ocean Road and the Yarra Valley, a beautiful wine region, or the Mornington Peninsula. For the most hard-working ones, language workshops are organised in the afternoon, offering conversation courses and useful tips to find the right words while you speak. You can also take this opportunity to volunteer for the local community. Catch everything Melbourne can give you – and your stay will be unforgettable!
