To allow you to fully immerse yourself in the Bristol lifestyle and the English culture in general, our partner school offers this excellent solution: a host family. Students stay in a single room and share the common areas of the household. Half-board is optional, allowing those who are more independent the freedom to cook their own meals or eat out more often. Access to the school is generally easy, on foot or by bus depending on the distance, varying between about 15 and 45 minutes.
Elephant House residence (from 18 years)
Located 15 minutes’ walk to the school, this residence is ideal for meeting students from all over the world in a relaxed and comfortable setting. The building is named after the elephant sculptures which ornate the side facade. You will find many convivial shops and cafés in the nearby Southville district. The residence includes 10 single rooms with various configurations, but all comfortable and welcoming. There is a fully equipped communal kitchen, two lounges (one with a large screen TV) and free Wi-Fi internet access on site. Bedlinen is provided, but towels are not; a washing machine is at your disposal. If you wish to enjoy some independence while living in a community of students, this is the perfect solution for you!
City Centre Studios (from 18 years)
In the heart of the city, these premium studios are located 7 minutes’ walk to the course centre. Beautifully renovated in recent years, the building offers retro studios decorated in the 60’s style, all comfortable and equipped with modern technology. Facilities include a private shower, a kitchen corner, a breakfast bar, a large screen TV and free Wi-Fi internet access. Laundry facilities are to be shared. Bedlinen are available on site, but towels are not. Staying in the centre of Bristol, you will find many restaurants, cafés and shops in the immediate surroundings of the building.
The Bristol Language Centre offers a leisure program all year round. It is generally made up of two to three activities during the week and a weekend excursion, all with the aim of allowing you to discover as many sides of Bristol and England as possible, in the company of other students. And for those who would prefer to enjoy all that this city and its surrounds has to offer by themselves, there is an abundance of choice: film and music festivals, theatre and street markets for Bristol culture, and Stonehenge, Glastonbury or the Welsh countryside nearby.
