Our partner school was founded in September 2004. It is located in the city centre, in the heart of the business district and only a few minutes on foot from Bristol Temple Meads train station. The school occupies the a modern building and has 18 classrooms. Outside of lesson time, students have access to a recreation area and two multimedia centres where there are 14 computers available in total with free Internet access. Students can also benefit from WiFi access in the school. During the high season, extra classrooms are used in a University and a secondary school. The Bristol Language Centre particularly distinguishes itself by its partnership with several colleges and Universities and offers relevant advice to students wishing to pursue their studies in Great Britain.

Do you think you've made progress?
« Oui.

Testimonials

My language stay in Bristol was great and enriching, from both a personal and professional point of view. The city is amazing and I made lots of new friends from different countries; the relationships were very strong and we were helping each other when we had problems or doubts. I highly recommend this kind of experience!

The Bristol Language Centre, Bristol
Duration: 3 weeks

I just want to say that my language stay in Bristol was amazing. On one hand, I met many people from other countries and this allowed me to know their cultures. It was summer, so there were plenty of university students; the atmosphere was really friendly and teachers were very nice.

On the other hand, I think that Bristol was the right choice for me. Even though it’s not a big city, it has everything you need. The activities and entertainment options are very varied – like the pubs and the innumerable shops. There are also many gardens and parks, where you can spend the afternoon speaking English with your new friends.

The school organizes short trips every week; I went to London and Cardiff! I also would like to point out that the weather was nice because it was summer; we just had some drizzle a couple of times. Thank God I didn’t experience the bad weather they talk about in books!

It was an amazing experience: I managed to speak a new language, I loved my host family in Bristol and their habits, I made lots of new friends that I will hopefully see again one day. This experience will remain engraved in my memory forever.

Students stay in a single room and share the common areas of the household. Half-board is optional, allowing those who are more independent the freedom to cook their own meals or eat out more often. Access to the school is generally easy, on foot or by bus depending on the distance, varying between about 15 and 45 minutes.

The Bristol Language Centre offers a leisure program all year round. It is generally made up of two to three activities during the week and a weekend excursion, all with the aim of allowing you to discover as many sides of Bristol and England as possible, in the company of other students. And for those who would prefer to enjoy all that this city and its surrounds has to offer by themselves, there is an abundance of choice: film and music festivals, theatre and street markets for Bristol culture, and Stonehenge, Glastonbury or the Welsh countryside nearby.
