CES, Leeds
Duration: 3 weeks

Leeds is a nice little city, which is located near other multicultural cities that can also be visited. You can find small, friendly restaurants there. The only problem is that the sun is not often there but you quickly get used to leaving the house with an umbrella. For party people, many pubs and clubs await. The school also offers nice activities. As for the classes, the teachers manage to vary the subjects to make sure you learn a diverse vocabulary every day. In short, Leeds is an interesting destination that I would recommend for a short stay.

CES, Leeds

I’m Rebeca, I’m 21 years old and I’m from Barcelona. I chose to study English in Leeds because it’s close to Manchester and Liverpool. It was also the city that ESL recommended to me, because it’s small, with lots of university students and has everything you need. My experience at the school was excellent, especially regarding the staff and classmates. The atmosphere is great. I probably would have preferred the school to be a bit larger and for it to have more study material available to students. At first, the level in my group was rather low, but I asked for a change and they placed me in a higher level. Leeds is a beautiful city and I’m very pleased with the whole experience.

CES, Leeds
Duration: 3 weeks

I already had a good English level, but I wanted to improve it. As I am a big fan of the English culture, as well as of the Yorkshire region, I decided to go to Leeds, a city where I have lots of childhood memories because my stepsister used to live there. During my 3-week stay, not only I learned English, but I also learned to be more open towards other people and to be more confident, also when I speak English. My host mum welcomed me with the same kindness of a grandmother; she was always very caring and cooked a lot for me (yes, it is possible to eat well in England!). As for the school, I had never seen such a big enthusiasm for new students; my teachers were amazing and the teaching methods were very interesting. Thanks to them and to my host mum, who used to correct my mistakes and teach me vocabulary, I learned more in these 3 semaines than in 10 years of English courses.

Host family
Staying with an English host family in Leeds is a unique opportunity to discover the lifestyle of the locals in this university town. Our partner school selects the families with care and makes sure students are welcomed in an environment where they feel comfortable. Conversations with the family will help to consolidate the language skills acquired in class. You'll stay in a single room with full board (packed lunch during the week). The course centre is located about 30-40 minutes away by public transport.

Liberty Park residence (available in July and August)
This residence is also located within a short walking distance of the school. It's close to the town centre and within easy access of the many shops, pubs and restaurants in this lively area. It offers single rooms with private bathrooms in shared apartments, and Wi-Fi is free. The shared apartments include 4 to 6 single rooms, a fully equipped kitchen and a TV lounge. You will have access to a coin-operated laundry room at the residence, which is fitted with a big-screen TV.

Our partner school selects the families with care and makes sure students are welcomed in an environment where they feel comfortable. The course centre is located about 30-40 minutes away by public transport.
