I am very happy of my language course. I am currently following a semi-intensive programme in the morning and in the afternoon, after which I will start the IELTS exam preparation course. I studied in class of a lower level for the first 2 weeks, but then the school decided to place me in another group and now I have been studying in the right course for 4 weeks.
In my group there are 15 students, from Italy, Brazil, Korea, Japan… the nationality mix at school is good, but the presence of Italians is still pretty strong. I also like the Nido King’s Cross residence, I only had some problems when I arrived: it was on a Sunday and there were a lot of people who needed to check in and the reception staff did not give me much information. I also had to speak with the cleaning staff, because they didn’t come when expected. However the service is good and the location is excellent, I go to school by tube: in the morning there are always a lot of people, but I only have two stops, so it just takes me 15-20 minutes.
My conversation skills have improved and I really like the teaching methods used in classroom: they are not much based on books, but more on self-correction, sentence-building and the common expressions that we don’t usually find in grammar books. Talking about real life situations, we can make faster progress. I would recommend students to visit different parts of London: I’ve really enjoyed going to Soho and to the alternative area of East London lately!
