Our partner school is situated on the main shopping street, in the heart of the historical centre, opposite Oxford University and close to a multitude of shops, bars, restaurants and cafés. The school has 17 bright and comfortable classrooms, a computer room with free Wi-Fi and a large library where you can study. After class, meet up with your friends in the cafeteria. During the high season and depending on the number of participants, the school offers extra classrooms near the main course centre. Finally, the school offers a Job Club, where students can get information about part-time student jobs. This is a free club that meets once every two weeks to give information on potential employers (bars, hotels, promotional work, shops, etc.). Students are also given information regarding labour laws in the UK and benefit from personalised advice on how to improve their CVs.

My stay in Oxford was great, the school staff as well as the residence were amazing. I liked BSC’s teaching method a lot for it is very effective and you learn fast. My colleagues were all very friendly, I met people from the most diverse countries and I have kept in touch with them. Learning English in Oxford was a wonderful experience, not only from a linguistic but also from a cultural point of view. Thanks to the activities organised by the school, I could visit other cities such as Stonehenge – which I had always wanted to visit. The residence was excellent, my room was very comfortable and clean and the staff was friendly. Besides, there was Wi-Fi access in my room, which turned out to be very useful to me. As an IT guy, I had taken my laptop with me so I could check my emails and communicate with other people from my room. All in all, my stay was great, it allowed me to learn a lot and to discover a new town. I will certainly go back there.

My language course went perfectly well and I can only give a very positive feedback!
The host family was perfect!! The lady was very friendly and always attentive to my needs. She took care of tidying the house (of course, everyone had to contribute, but a woman always does more than the others), cooking and cleaning. The food (she mostly cooked Italian dishes, with great skill) was delicious.
The school always organized everything very well, the groups were small and I always felt very comfortable. Besides, the water was free.
The other participants were simply fantastic, I exchanged addresses with some of them so we can see each other again soon!
I can’t say more, except that the evenings – particularly Fridays and Saturdays – were always good fun. It was almost like being on holiday!
Thank you and see you soon!

I really enjoyed my 2 months in Oxford! It’s so interesting to meet so many different people from all over the world. I liked the international language school; teachers suggested amazing subjects to talk about and we all felt involved in some way! My life at the Student House was very varied: it’s quite rare to live with people from France, Japan, Russia, Spain and Holland at the same time! In short: I learnt a lot, met nice people and had a great time! I can only recommend it! Thank you so much to ESL for organizing my trip to Oxford! And thank you to the Swiss team.
