Staying with a friendly Irish host family is a fantastic way to enrich your English language stay! You’ll be accommodated in a single room with a shared bathroom (bed linens and towels included) and have the choice of breakfast only or half board (breakfast and dinner). You’ll be able to do laundry weekly. Take advantage of meal times to chat with your hosts and learn more about the Irish culture and traditions. When it’s time to go to school, your journey time will usually be between 40-50 minutes by public transport.
Kavanagh Court summer residence (available from 01.06 to 24.08.19) These 5-8-bedroom apartments are located in the heart of Dublin, a 7-minute walk from the school and less than 20 minutes from Trinity College and Temple Bar. In your en suite, single bedroom, you’ll find free Wi-Fi, a desk and bed linen (but bring your own towel!), while you’ll share the living room, the fully equipped kitchen, the coin-operated laundry facilities and the bike storage with the other students. The gym, the garden and the cinema room round off the excellent facilities of this modern residence. Common areas are cleaned once a week.
Dublin is a city that doesn’t know the meaning of the word bored. The school organises an exciting activities programme including movie nights, pub quizzes, open mic nights, karaoke, tours of Trinity College, bowling, live music and more! Check out the Guinness Storehouse and the Jameson Distillery to see how the famous Irish beer and whiskey are made, and get cosy in the pubs while listening to Irish folk music and sampling the traditional food. Check out Gaelic sports at Croke Park stadium, go horse riding or have a picnic in Phoenix Park and shop till you drop along Grafton Street – the options are endless!
