If you want to maximise your language progress, staying with a friendly Irish host family is the perfect way to do it! You’ll essentially become another member of the family, who will welcome you into their home where you’ll have your own private room with either its own bathroom or one in the hallway that you’ll share with the family. You’ll be provided with bed linens and towels, and for meals, you can choose between just breakfast or half board. Your commute time to school will range from 15-45 minutes by public transport.
LIV Dublin comfort residence
If you want to be right in the heart of the action in the centre of Dublin, this is a great option! Enjoy your independence in an en suite single room with a double bed and free bed linen, a wardrobe, desk and chair. Get in a workout at the onsite gym, cook meals in the spacious shared kitchen, play a game of air hockey or foosball with your fellow residents or unwind on the comfy sofas and watch a movie in the TV lounge. You’ll also enjoy the large courtyard with a ping-pong table, free Wi-Fi, laundry facilities and 24/7 security.
When it comes to things to do and see, Dublin is an endless source of entertainment! Take advantage of the free activities organised by the school, including walking tours of the city, pub nights where you’ll explore Dublin’s legendary bars and an intro to Gaelic football in the park. Don’t miss going cycling or horseback riding through Phoenix Park, tasting Ireland’s favourite drinks at the Guinness Storehouse and the Jameson Distillery, discovering the ancient Book of Kells in Trinity College and listening to live Irish folk music! If you’re looking to get out of town, don’t miss the Cliff Walk from Bray to Greystones for gorgeous scenery, or the charming fishing village of Howth, famous for its amazing seafood.
