Staying with a host family in Chicago is without any doubt the best way to practise English and to immerse yourself in the American culture. Each family is selected with care by our partner school and welcome you in a double or single room with half board provided. The families live in districts where you will find several bars, restaurants and bookshops. You will need to allow for around 40 minutes by public transport to get to the school.
The Loop Apartment shared apartments (from 18 years)
Erected in 1927 in the heart of downtown Chicago, the Pittsfield building is the crown jewel of Chicago’s art deco period. During your language study stay, you will have the chance to live in this historic building, which contains over 200 shared apartments (with one, two or three bedrooms). Staying in a single or twin room, you will share the kitchen, bathroom(s) and living room with other international students. For your convenience, local phone calls and Wi-Fi internet facilities are free, as is access to the on-site executive-level fitness centre. Bedlinen and towels are provided. This comfortable, stylishly designed student residence is within walking distance of great cultural institutions, superb boutiques, verdant Millennium Park and Chicago River. The building is supervised on a 24-hour basis and coin-operated laundry facilities are available.
A city of hyperactivity, Chicago proposes a whole host of entertainment possibilities: shows, exhibitions, festivals and world-class sports events. During the weekends and after your English classes, you will have the time to enjoy numerous activities. Between the discovery of the architectural works of Frank Lloyd Wright, numerous sports activities (cycling, volleyball, ice-skating, walks, etc.), the visiting of museums and art galleries or the staggering Sears Tower...Chicago promises you a sensational language study trip! In the city centre, the streets abound with cafés, bars and restaurants, where you can meet up and have parties with the other students and young people of Chicago.
