Accommodation with one of the host families selected with care by our partner school in San Francisco is the ideal solution for full immersion in the American way of life! You'll be able to discover the American culture and share experiences with your hosts. All of the host families are situated 45-65 minutes from the school by public transport and offer accommodation in a single or double room (doubles available only for students travelling together). You'll be provided with half-board.
Note: It is compulsory for students under 18 to book homestay accommodation and provide a parental consent form.

The residence boasts single and twin rooms (which can be booked individually or by students travelling together), each of which is equipped with free Wi-Fi and bed linen, a TV, sink, desk, dresser and closet. Bathrooms are shared. This option comes with half-board, and other perks include 24/7 security, a games room, laundry facilities and a gorgeous fireplace, perfect for gathering around with your new friends when it’s chilly out. The school is a half hour’s walk away, or for a true San Francisco experience, take the cable car and be there in 20 minutes!
Columbus residence (ages 18+)
Just a 10-minute walk from the school, this historic residence is centrally located between Chinatown, the Embarcadero waterfront and the Financial District. Single rooms come with regular or lofted single beds, while twin rooms have bunkbeds (twin rooms can be booked individually or by students travelling together). All feature free Wi-Fi and bed linen, a mini fridge, desk and dresser. Bathrooms are shared. Cook meals in the shared kitchen with your fellow residents, or hang out in the lounge. There are microwaves on each floor and vending machines in the building. Laundry facilities and 24/7 reception round out the great facilities!
Every week, our partner school in San Francisco prepares a programme of the most diverse activities. A visit to the mythical prison of Alcatraz, walks in the city centre, kayaking in the bay, or even sport in Golden Gate Park are amongst the possibilities in this multicultural city. Shopping fans will be able to treat themselves in Union Square. For a bit of relaxation there’s nothing like a bikeride along the waterfront or relaxing in a café in historic North Beach. In the evenings, you will be able to dine with the other students in the Pier 39 district, famous for its restaurants and bars, or go to listen to a concert in the Golden Gate Park. Excursions will also be proposed to Lake Tahoe in the winter or to Yosemite National Park, to Santa Cruz, the Napa Valley wine region, and to Los Angeles.
