In the heart of Paris, between the Opéra, the Louvre and Notre-Dame, our French language partner school is ideally located for those who wish to study French whilst enjoying all of the charms of the capital. Located on the second floor of a typically Parisian Haussmanian-style building, the 20 classrooms are spacious and equipped with audiovisual material. During breaks, you will be able to go to meet and have a chat with other students in the cafeteria. There, you will also find a large selection of French newspapers and magazines, as well as the school’s cultural programme. Die Sprachschule liegt wunderbar zentral, gut mit ÖPV erreichbar. Die Schule selbst ist gut ausgestattet, meine Dozentinnen waren alle prima. Die Atmosphäre in der Schule - von den Büromitarbeitern/innen bis zu den Dozenten ist sehr gut, sie waren alle sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ein Aufenthalt dort ist absolut empfehlenswert. Im Aufenthaltsraum der Schule ist es möglich Getränke - kalt und heiß - und auch kleine Snacks und auch Sandwichs aus Automaten zu ziehen, preislich alles toll im Rahmen. Die Schule hatte auch Informationen mitgeschickt, wo in der Nähe der Schule mittags gegessen werden kann, gestaffelt nach Preisniveau. Die Mittagspause ging von 13 - 14.15 Uhr. 14.15 Uhr begann der Nachmittagsunterricht bis 17.15 Uhr. Auch die Unterkunft im Stay City Paris Apartement-Hotel war sehr gut, fußläufig bis zur Schule, Selbstversorgung kein Problem. Auch die Altersverteilung ist super, jede/r kann sich dort wohl fühlen, egal welchen Alters. Die jüngste Teilnehmerin war 16, die meisten in den 20igern, aber auch reichlich über 30 bis sogar 70 Jahre. Freizeitaktivitäten wurden seitens der Schule nicht angeboten, die Teilnehmer/innen organisierten sich wunderbar selbst. Zum Teil wurden Empfehlungen für bestimmte Aktivitäten ausgesprochen mit Erklärungen, wie man hin kommt.

Ich habe bei Lehrmaterial auch einen Schreibblock und Stifte sowei eine Mappe zum sammeln der Kopien erwartet. Lehrer haben sich sehr große Mühe gegeben uns zu verstehen, Mitunter ist es zu laut von den anderen Klassenräumen. Der Unterricht am Nachmittag vereint zu viele unterschiedliche Level, da hatte ich mit meinem Level echte Probleme zu folgen, Themen waren interessant. Lehrer sprachen Enlgisch, das war für mich hilfreich. Viele Nationalitäten von 21 Jahre bis 58 bei 9 Kursteilnehmern das war richtig gut.

Host family
The school selects a network of quality host families to allow students to gain the maximum benefit from their stay. Having the chance to share meals with the family means that you can practise your French and adapt to daily life in France with greater ease and pleasure. Located in the 12th arrondissement, this residence offers brand new, fully furnished studios. You are at the heart of Paris, close to some iconic attractions such as the Gare de Lyon railway station and the Place de la Bastille, and steps from many restaurants, cafés and shops. The nearby metro station will take you to the school in around 15 minutes. You will have everything you need in your private studio: bedroom, private bathroom, lounge, kitchen, television with international channels, air-conditioning, telephone and free Wi-Fi internet access. Hair dryers, irons and ironing boards, and vacuum cleaners can be borrowed at the reception.

If you choose this residence, you will be staying close to the Place de la Bastille and steps from the Canal Saint-Martin. Many boutiques and artisan shops give life to this busy area in the heart of the capital. Each studio apartment is equipped with a comfortable bed, a kitchen area with a refrigerator, hotplates and crockery, and with a bathroom with toilets.
