This is the ideal option for those who want to experience the Italian way of life and improve their Italian in a friendly atmosphere. Host families offer accommodation about 15 minutes by bus from the school. Whether you stay in a large family or with just one person, you will have your own single room (double if you are travelling with another student) and can choose between half-board and breakfast only.
Our partner school in Florence also offers accommodation in apartments, shared with other students, about 15 minutes' walk from the school. You can either have your own room or share if you are travelling with a friend. The apartments each have three or more bedrooms and are fully equipped with a kitchen where you can prepare your own meals and a bathroom (towels and sheets are provided) which are shared. This accommodation option is ideal for meeting international students and sharing the unique experience of learning Italian in the heart of Florence. On request, our partner school also offers accommodation in private apartments (1 or 2 people).
The European capital of art, Florence is a city whose rich past invites you to explore its cobbled streets. The city is a museum in itself, an incarnation of the Renaissance offering you an unforgettable display from its unique museums to its magnificent architecture and Tuscan landscapes. You will be face to face with history: the Piazza della Signoria dotted with towers, the Duomo and the works of art in the Uffizi Gallery are all located on the same bank of the Arno River. Add to this Florence's wine making and gastronomy – Tuscan wines, freshly made pasta and sauces with exquisite flavour. Welcome to Tuscany!
