Ik denk dat de combinatie van een taal leren in een onbekende stad of land, voor mij een onvergetelijke ervaring is geworden! Ik koos om de taalreis in Busan te volgen, de 2de grootste stad van Zuid-Korea en ben enorm blij dat ik de volle 8 weken hier kon blijven. Seomyeon is een zeer dynamisch en jeugdige buurt en dus perfect om de lessen daar door te laten gaan! Het warme weer en het nabije strand zorgen op zich weer voor dat Busan een toplocatie is! Busan heeft een zeer verwelkomend volk, wat je ervoor zorgt dat je je snel thuis voelt. De vele coffee shops, restaurantjes, arcade games, karaokes etc. rondom de academy zorgden voor een drukke maar sfeervolle periode, of het nu vrijdagavond was of zondagmiddag! Ook de gemakkelijke bereikbaarheid van de verschillende regio's in Busan zelf met de subway zijn en bus zijn een groot pluspunt! Ik heb genoten van de kleinschaligheid van de academy in Busan waardoor iedereen wel iedereen kende na een tijdje. Maar tegelijkertijd zaten de klaslokalen soms ietsje te vol. De klaslokalen zijn goed uitgerust. Alleen is het soms wat minder om les te hebben in de kleine lokalen waar geen ramen zijn. Maar dat is echt het minste. Zeker de Student Nights en de Meet Ups mogen ze blijven doen! Ik zou het zeker niet erg vinden als mijn nummer of mailadres zou worden doorgegeven aan een geïnteresseerde indien ik het op voorhand even weet :)

Y lo mejor es que todas mis memorias de haya han sido espléndidas. Lo único no tan bueno que podría decir sería que a veces la diferencia entre la temperatura exterior y el interior de las aulas era muy grandes. Host family
Located within an approximate radius of 20 minutes by public transport from the language school, staying with a host family is an invaluable way to experience Korean culture. You’ll stay in a single room in the family’s home with free access to laundry facilities and will be able to choose between half-board or breakfast only. Free Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all included. This is a wonderful way to practise your Korean while living with a local family and learning about their customs and traditions.

Mini Studio
If you’d like to be surrounded by other international and local Korean students, you can stay in an en-suite mini studio. Your room includes Wi-Fi access, free bed linen and towels, a desk, chair, closet and a small fridge. Free laundry facilities are available on-site and a shared kitchen is also available for student use. The language school is just a 10 to 15-minute walk from the residence.

As South Korea’s second-largest city and the biggest port in the country, there’s never a shortage of things to do in Busan! Take part in the school’s exciting activity programme (including free events as well as some which are available for an extra charge), which introduces students to Korean culture. In addition to being one the most vibrant cosmopolitan cities in Korea, Busan also boasts some of the country’s best beaches where you can try your hand at every type of water sport under the sun. And, if you’re looking for a weekend getaway, Seoul is less than 3 hours away via high-speed train.
