If you love shopping, you will truly be in heaven in Miami. Shopping centres, outlet malls, streets lined with palm trees and boutiques… Miami is a shoppers’ paradise! One of the most popular is the Lincoln Road Mall in South Beach. Stroll along the pedestrian walkway past palm trees and fountains visiting shops like Guess, Urban Outfitters and American Apparel. Across the bay, you’ll find the Bayside Marketplace, where you can shop on the waterfront at Gap, The Disney Store and Express, among others.
If you want to have your Pretty Woman
moment, head to the Bal Harbour Shops above North Beach. Unless you’re royalty, you’ll only be able to window shop, but wandering amidst Chanel, Jimmy Choo and Tiffany’s is an experience like none other. Surprisingly, there are some reasonably priced restaurants around so you can people-watch over pasta!
Further south in Coconut Grove, CocoWalk is a pretty outdoor shopping centre where you can sip on a Starbucks frappuccino while browsing shops like Victoria’s Secret and the Gap. Still heading south, The Shops at Sunset Place, which include Forever 21, Hollister and Banana Republic, also boast plenty of dining options like the classic American chains of Johnny Rockets and Buffalo Wild Wings.
Finally, for bargain shoppers, there’s the Dolphin Mall, an outlet shopping centre past the airport (reachable by bus) where you can score scandalous deals on brands like Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, Coach, Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger. Don’t forget to stop by The Cheesecake Factory for a slice ;)
