11th January – 21st January 2018: Feria de las Flores y del Café (Boquete)
Thousands of people come to Boquete to visit one of the most spectacular floral celebrations in the world. There is also an orchid festival in April.
15th January – 20th January 2018: Panama Jazz Festival
The capital city’s Jazz Festival gets bigger and better every year, attracting artists from across the Americas and worldwide. As well as performances, there is an emphasis on education, with lots of workshops taking place.
9th February – 13th February 2018: Carnival
The two biggest carnival celebrations take place in the capital city and in Las Tablas, but Bocas del Toro also offers some big events during the carnival, including a reggae festival. Crazy days.
22nd February – 25th February 2018: Boquete Jazz&Blues Festival
In a beautiful natural setting, each year this small town hosts an important music festival and gives 100% of the profits to local schools, in order to improve musical education. Enjoy the lively atmosphere and some good music!
14th September– 28th September 2018: Feria Internacional del Mar (Bocas del Toro)
An annual celebration of the sea in one of Panama’s most appealing beach towns.
November 2018: Independence Month (!)
Not much work gets done in Panama during November, due to an abundance of national holidays. November 3 is Independence Day (from Colombia), November 4 is Flag Day, November 5 is Colon Day, November 10 “Primer Grito de Independencia de la Villa de los Santos” and November 28 is Independence Day (from Spain).
