The school’s main strength is the teachers. The atmosphere in the class is relaxed and joyful, and this helps focusing during the course. My English improved significantly, as the school applies a strong English-only policy, plus French was not the most spoken language among the other students, so I had to force myself and speak English all the time. My host family lived about 15 minutes away from the school by bike. The area was beautiful; there was a swimming pool, a BBQ, a fitness room… The family was very open and we did many activities together (paddle surf, surf, picnics, markets…). I recommend going to Fraser Island; beach, surf and BBQ are great there!

Noosa is a beautiful little town where you can learn the language while feeling on holiday. Surrounded by beaches and national parks, everything is close by. I recommend the excursion to the gorgeous Fraser Island and Moreton Island. As for the school – I will always have a great memory of it. I felt at home from the very first day; the staff and the teachers are amazing. I couldn’t dream of anything better than this. You have everything you can expect from a language trip in Australia: good weather, beautiful setting, warm people, new friendships from all over the world, a great school that supports and listen to its students at all time. I am very happy that I chose to spend two months there and if I could go back in time, I wouldn’t change a single thing.

Noosa is a hip seaside resort located on the Sunshine Coast of the Australian East coast. The surroundings are stunning: nature reserves, beautiful landscapes, heavenly beaches, crystal-clear water. My favourite spot? Little Cove Beach, a little piece of heaven between Main Beach and Noosa National Park. Read more

I am studying a total of 6 months in Australia, now I am in Lexis Noosa for 3 months and after I will move to Sydney for the remaining 3 months. I am currently in an upper-intermediate class and both of my teachers; Dionne and Eileen are fantastic and have been supportive during my course.

I choose to study in Noosa because it seemed to be a really nice place, with a beautiful ocean and lots of nature. At first I thought Iwould stay in Sydney the entire 6 months, but I am glad I choose to try something different and experience Australian culture in a smaller locationfirst.

I first saw Noosa in a brochure at the ESL Montreux office and their staff then advised me of the location, as they have personally experienced Noosa and recommended it to me. I am very happy with my course structure and think it is perfect for me and I have really improved my speaking and vocabulary. Sometimes the lessons have been quite easy for me, but it is also good to revise the basics that I already learnt in my home country.

I am living in homestay accommodation and am very happy. My homestay family is approximately a 5 minute walk to the school, which is nice. At first, I was surprised by some cultural differences, but now that my family and I have gotten to know each other, those differences are not so obvious anymore.

There are a lot of activities to do in Noosa if you enjoy the outdoors. During my time here I have enjoyed BBQ’s, national park walks, lots of outdoor activities, but especially surfing. I will take home many wonderful memories and have met a lot of friends both international and Australian, I love the Aussie accent! I think Noosa offers a sunny life and everyone is very open, warm and friendly. People in Australia seem genuinely interested in meeting different cultures, which is nice.

After my courses, I hope to travel part of Australia with some friends and maybe hire a van; I would really like to see Alice Springs. My main purpose in achieving an English qualification is so I can travel most places and be able to communicate. I think it is important to be bilingual and with English you can use it mostly everywhere. My goal is to study medicine and I hope to use my English to volunteer in a program, such as Doctors without borders. Thank you to everyone who helped with my Australian journey!

I decided to go to Noosa because I wanted to live in a small town. I am not a big fan of big cities when it comes to staying there for more than one week. In Noosa, I found what I was looking for, that is, no buildings higher than the trees, beautiful beaches, superb landscapes and very hospitable people.

I decided to stay in a student house and this was a beautiful experience. I was lucky there wasn’t any student who spoke my mother tongue so I could make rapid progress in English. I discovered different cultures and I had great exchanges with the other students.

Regarding the school, I had classes in the morning, which left me the whole afternoon to go to the beach, surf or simply stroll about. The content of the classes allowed me to revise the English I had lost and update my knowledge of grammar and conjugation. My teachers were brilliant and always attentive.

As well as helping me deepen and perfect my English skills, this trip allowed me to learn a lot about myself. This was a very enriching experience that I wish everyone could have once in their lives.

The Lexis English Noosa School’s programme is a good mix of studies and holidays. Students are there to improve their language skills (please note it’s AUSTRALIAN English!), so you will find a great multicultural environment! All staff and teachers are available if you have any question or problem, for example with accommodation, bus, etc. Courses are interactive; each person can make progress at his/her own rhythm, but you will see that improvements are very fast and visible from the first week!

After school, a classroom stays open for those who want to do their homework and a teacher is always available if you have any question. The school organizes plenty of different activities (table-tennis, poker, movies…) and takes you to the beach. The National Park is a beautiful natural reserve where you can walk, enjoy the view of the sea and see koalas!

In addition to that, the school organizes plenty of different excursions every weekend to help you meet new people and open your mind! A small and charming travel agency is located on site. Students can go there at any time of the day if they need information, if they want to book an activity during the week or the weekend (surf course, diving, market, shopping, zoo, etc.), book an excursion of two or more days (Fraser Island, Byron Bay, Surfer Paradise, etc.) or simply plan the rest of their trip!

WHAT ELSE?? What else do you need more than the sun, the ocean and the beach after school?? I can only recommend this incredible language trip!

Noosa is perfect to learn English. It is just beautiful, small and well structured. The beach is very beautiful too. I even bought myself a surfboard and right after class, I go surfing. Australians are very nice, I get along well with them as well as with my host family and I enjoy the moments I spend with them. We learn a lot of things at the school, our teacher is very nice and always ready to make a joke.

When I decided to go to Australia, I wanted to discover the world and meet new people. And I wanted to see incredible landscapes and find a quiet place. When I ask ESL for advice, I liked Noosa straight away, as it’s a small and quiet town, close to the beach. It was the dream place for me.

Lexis English is a very good school with great teachers and people. As for my host family – they were really nice and had the qualities I expected from a host family. I really recommend this experience to anyone who is looking for something new or simply wants a break in his/her professional or personal life. There is only one thing I would like to do and it’s going back now to that corner of paradise.

I went to this small town for 5 months with the purpose of improving my English. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made: an amazing human and cultural experience! Noosa is a small town with beautiful beaches and a stunning national park, where you can easily spot water turtles and dolphins, while koalas are more rare. The school is small but well located; the staff is nice and helpful. I quickly got used to the Australian lifestyle and now I can’t wait to go back to that little paradise!

When I decided to come to Australia, I chose Noosa because I wanted to live in a quiet town close to the beaches and Noosa seemed to be what I was searching for.

I decided to live in a homestay because, in my opinion, the best way to learn English is to speak with English speakers. The house was well situated, being close to the beach. My family was nice and friendly and I learned a lot about Australian culture from living with them.

The school is well situated and the courses are interesting. I did 3 months in General English first and then 3 months on the Cambridge First Certificate course. I would say that the General English course was more relaxing than the Cambridge course, in which you have to study hard to pass your exam. I enjoyed the Cambridge course more as you make quicker progress.

You’ll never get bored at the college as they always organize a lot of interesting activities, such as beach volley ball, barbeques, soccer and many activities in which you can win prizes.
