This fascinating city is cradled in the heart of the Guanajuato mountain range, almost 2,000 metres tall. The steep streets lead to small squares where local life goes on, and in the shade of the trees, you'll be able to try local specialties in the restaurants and cafés. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage site, Guanajuato was once a mining city. Thanks to its silver mines, its inhabitants lived a comfortable life. Next to the old silver mine, you'll find the San Cayetano Church featuring some of the ancient silver. It's the perfect authentic city to study Spanish!
