Course material

All ESL-Language Studies Abroad’s partner schools provide course material for their students. Learning materials vary according to the choice of course. The latest teaching coursebooks or authentic documents may be used. Some schools include the course material fees in the school fees (see "included in the price"), others charge it separately depending on the duration of the course and possible change in level or according to the specialisation of the course. In that case, it will cost you EUR 40 on average.

Price calculation

ESL prices include course costs, accommodation and school administration fees. Possible additional costs such as exam board fees, course materials, accommodation deposits, airport transfers, etc.) always appear at the bottom of the price list, under the “options, extras” section on our website.

We strive for transparency and list all prices in the currency of the country of destination, so euros for Spain or France, swiss francs for Switzerland, yen for Japan and so on. It is important to convert these prices into your local currency so you can get a good overall idea of the budget necessary to realise your project.

In just a couple of clicks, find the best price for your language course abroad. Our online price calculator makes it possible to compare the different destinations and wide range of programmes that we offer.

To the quoted price, the only addition would be the price of the flight or train journey, based on the availability of your selected dates. We can book a flight for you at an excellent rate, due to our strong relationship with various airlines. Of course, you can search online if you would rather make your own flight booking... it’s important to be informed before making your decision.

Finally, depending on the country and the length of your stay, a visa may be necessary and this should be taken into account when calculating the total cost.

Contact us for more information, advice or a personalised price quote. We would love to send you a no-obligation quote for your trip. We’re here to help with your decision, to guide you through the strengths of each individual school and destination and to deliver you a package that corresponds to your needs, wishes and priorities.

I spent 24 weeks at EC in Malta, for an intensive course. It was one of the best experiences of my life and I don’t regret it at all! In 6 months, my English level improved a lot. Malta is a beautiful island full of places to visit – I spent 6 months there and I wasn’t even able to see everything!

If you’re still unsure about a language stay, stop doubting and go! It will be the best experience of your life.

My stay at Kings in Boston was very successful. I loved the idea of travelling far away on my own. When I arrived at the airport, the adventure started. Kings Boston is located in a natural, beautiful setting, far from the noise of the city. Classes are provided by motivated, native teachers, and this makes the learning process faster. I improved a lot! Also, during classes we talked about interesting topics, and what’s cool is that we watched many videos, news reports and movies. I find this teaching method very practical; it’s different from the traditional ones that I experienced at school or uni. Another thing I liked a lot was that my afternoons were free, so I could explore Boston from 12:30pm until late at night. Kings gives you a lot of independence and freedom. If you want to burn off the greasy and boring food of the cafeteria, the school organises many sport activities every day, and there is also a gym (open until late). All the other activities are as cool as the sports ones: you’ll be able to spend a day in an amusement park, a weekend in Washington or New York, a night on a boat or a day at the beach (but be careful, as some activities can be very expensive, from 25 to 300 dollars).

Rooms are not luxurious – they’re basic and not great, but at least they’re big enough for two people.

In general, I spent 3 unforgettable weeks at Kings. Boston has thousands of things to offer, and if I can give you a piece of advice, travelling alone is even better, as on site you’ll meet so many people from around the world!

On 15th May 2017 I packed and went to Ireland. I was supposed to stay for 2 months and travel by myself for the first time! The transfer from the airport to my host family went well (a member of the school staff took care of it). This is where I realised that my English was pretty bad and that my very French accent was a big barrier.

My host family was adorable and gave me a city map, explaining which buses I had to take and where the school was.

The first day was frightening. Luckily, the school organised some group activities every day (which allowed me to make new friends) and excursions every weekend. In addition, the teachers did their best to help us integrate.

Ireland (despite some negative aspects, such as the rain, greasy food and some dirty streets in the capital) is a marvellous country with incredible landscapes and a warm and open-minded population.

After my first month with a host family, I decided to move to a student residence. ESL and ISI were super quick and effective with this change.

At the end of my trip, I had improved my English a lot (B1 > B2), and I can say that in Dublin, I had one of the most enriching experiences of my entire life.

A couple of tips: try to avoid people who speak your native language; if you can, stay in the country for more than a month (you need at least 1 week just to get used to the new place and 1 month to feel at home); visit as many places as possible and don’t skip your classes!
