The school is located at the heart of the city centre, in a beautiful fully refurbished colonial building just steps from the Plaza de Armas. The course centre has 7 light and spacious classrooms, some located on the ground floor and opening onto the sun-drenched inner courtyard, others on the first floor, with a balcony and views of the Santo Domingo Church. Smaller rooms are also available for private courses. To relax after classes, socialise with your new international friends in the café overlooking the courtyard or in the large common room. Other facilities include a multimedia room, a kitchen and a cafeteria.

Ich hatte während meines Sprachaufenthalts nur gute Erfahrungen mit der Organisation von ESL und den Partnern in Peru gemacht. Ich bin sehr zufrieden. Mein Sprachaufenthalt und meine Freiwilligenarbeit in Cusco waren fantastisch. Auf jeden Fall! Die Lehrer leisten eine großartige Arbeit und das Klima in der Sprachschule war sehr angenehm. Gut organisierter und srtukturierter Unterricht Das Haus der Gastfamilie war sehr zentral gelegen. Ich konnte alle wichtigen Orte zu Fuß erreichen. Außerdem war die Gegend sehr sicher. Das Haus war sehr sauber und geordnet. Meine Gastfamilie war sehr offen und hilfsbereit. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt.

Die Schule in Cusco ist super organisiert, der Unterricht macht Spaß und bringt einen weiter. Ich würde empfehlen, in der Schule zu wohnen, da man dann leichter Anschluss findet und immer was zu tun hat, aber auch von den Gastfamilien hab ich zum Großteil nur Gutes gehört und da lernt man evtl mehr Spanisch. Ansonsten ist das Volontariat eine gute Alternative, da man dort auch zum Spanischsprechen gezwungen wird. Die spannendste Arbeit ist das in den meisten Projekten zwar nicht, aber wer sich gern mit Kindern beschäftigt, ist gut aufgehoben. Cusco als Stadt ist natürlich sehr touristisch, aber dafür kann man auch sehr gut ausgehen und leicht weitere Ausflüge von dort planen. Außerdem sind die Mitarbeiter der Schule unglaublich hilfsbereit und lieb, die Atmosphäre ist super. Ich würde mich jederzeit wieder dazu entscheiden, 2 Monate Sprachkurs in Cusco zu machen, es war eine spannende, lustige und lehrreiche Zeit!

Host family
Staying with a host family is a unique opportunity to make the most out of your language course. You will immerse yourself in the Peruvian culture and the Spanish language, and so enhance your language skills. You will have a single room with half board included.

Residence
The residence is located in the same building as the school, which means you can stay right in the city centre, have daily contact with international students and avoid transportation to go to class. Single, double, triple and quadruple rooms, all spacious and with natural light, are available. The bathrooms and equipped kitchen are shared – private bathrooms are available on request – and you will enjoy many common areas with sofas and free Wi-Fi to relax with your new friends or revise your Spanish lessons. Two meals per day (breakfast and lunch), prepared by the school’s cook, are included – perfect to save money and taste the local specialties!

Amauta residence

General information

The Spanish school and residence are located on Calle San Agustin, next to the well-known Marriott and Novotel hotels and just two blocks from the famous Plaza de Armas of Cusco. The student residence, located within the school building, consists of singles, doubles and one triple (or quadruple) room. The rooms are spacious with natural light and high ceilings. There are three new shared bathrooms and several cosy corners with small sofas for studying or hanging out. Students are welcome to use the kitchen facilities and the student lounge. There is free Wi-Fi and a chef-in-residence who prepares a delicious range of Andean and foreign cuisine. Breakfast and a delicious home-cooked three-course lunch are included in this option, a great deal!
