My dream had always been to travel to Australia and I decided to go there for a few months. But first, I needed to have some knowledge in English ! I decided to go to a language school to learn and to improve this language! The school I chose was Browns Language School, a school situated in Southport, just next to the famous city of Surfers Paradise. The teachers encouraged me in my studies and were always were dynamic, friendly and well-organised. In BROWNS I met lots of new friends, and not only friends from Switzerland, but friend from Asia and South America. It was so interesting for me to discover new cultures ! BROWNS organised lots of nice activites where I could meet wonderful people and develop a good relationship with them.

The school is really exceptional. It has a central location and Surfers Paradise is only 10 minutes away by bus. The teachers are great and teach us not only the language but also Australian culture. The staff get out of their way to make us feel comfortable. At the school, you can access the Internet at all times. The only language you are allowed to speak is English. At first you need to get used to it, but it makes contact with other people from all over the world easier.

Living on the Gold Coast is great. Many beautiful beaches are within easy reach by bus. It is also possible to go on excursions to Brisbane or Fraser Island at weekends. The journey by plane to Sydney and Melbourne isn’t too long either.
