A stone’s throw away from the Empire State Building, our partner school welcomes you on the 7th floor of a modern and attractive art-deco building on 5th Avenue. There, in the heart of bustling Manhattan, you will study English together with students coming from the four corners of the world. Easily reachable by public transport, the school offers excellent facilities: 20 modern classrooms equipped with interactive whiteboards, a library, a digital language laboratory, free Wi-Fi connection, a student bookshop, a self-access centre, computers, a canteen… To relax after class and have lunch, you will also take advantage of the Student Café and Lounge, designed exclusively for the students of the school, and enjoy the cafés and restaurants located on the first floor of the building. Host Family
Experience the American way of life in a family from New York! In this cosmopolitan city, you will share the daily life of an American family and will be accommodated in a single room – or a double, if you are travelling with a friend. You will be provided with breakfast only or half-board accommodation. Depending on availability, you can have the use of a private bathroom if you opt for accommodation in a “superior” family. The school has a wide network of host families, inside and outside Manhattan. So if you want to experience New York’s exciting life, you can choose to stay on Manhattan island, either north or south of 115th street, but if you’d rather benefit from a different life environment, you will opt for a host family outside Manhattan, in a residential district of the Greater New York area (Brooklyn, Staten Island, Long Island, Westcester, Bronx, etc), 35-50 minutes from the school by public transport.

Residence De Hirsch 92nd Street Y
If you want to take advantage of a maximum of distractions in a safe environment and a convivial atmosphere, this residence is perfect for you! You will stay in the renowned Manhattan’s Upper East Side neighbourhood of Carnegie Hill, close to the greatest theatres, museums, parks and restaurants of the city. Besides, the DE Hirsch 92nd Street Y Residence is located on the premises of an established cultural organisation and will offer you tips and special discounts to take part in sports and artistic activities or events! Among the numerous facilities offered by the school, let us just mention the large fitness centre with a swimming pool and a gym, concert halls, dance studios, a school of music, an art gallery and a ceramics and jewellery studio. In modern and bright rooms with one or two beds, you will have the use of a lockable closet, a chair, a desk, as well as air-conditioning. Bedlinen is provided with weekly housekeeping. Each floor includes common bathrooms and toilets as well as a fully-equipped kitchen with flat screen TV and DVD player. Several laundry rooms with washing machines, dryers and ironing boards are also available. The residence also hosts a café-bar, where you can meet up with your friends and order fresh food and beverages. A Wi-Fi connection is available free of charge throughout the building. The security of the residence is assured on a 24-hour basis.

Studio private
To more independent students, the school also offers studio apartments located in Midtown Manhattan, 45 minutes from the school by public transport. Each studio includes a fully equipped kitchen. Studios are only available for more than four weeks’ stays.
