Language school Athens
Alexander the Great

Our partner school in Greece, “Alexander the Great”, is located in a neo-classical building in the heart of the city, next to the famous National Museum of Archaeology. The school has fully equipped, air-conditioned classrooms, an audio-video room, a computer lab with Internet access and a library. A cafeteria provides the ideal place to relax between classes and to chat with friends over a coffee, to plan your weekend in Delphi or discuss tomorrow’s party. The school’s excellent location allows you to easily access all types of transport and to immerse yourself in the capital’s lively rhythm.

Accomodation

Host family
This is your dream chance to live like a real Athenian! Staying with a family offers the advantage of being in direct contact with the Hellenic culture, and also the opportunity to practise Greek in a warm atmosphere. Located about 25 minutes from the school, you will have your own room and share breakfast with your host family each morning.
Shared apartments
Located five minutes on foot from the school, these apartments are made available to students by the school. You will have your own bedroom and share the equipped kitchen, the living room and the bathroom with other international students. You organise your own meals: why not try some new Greek recipes with your flatmates?

Leisure

A world in itself, Athens invites you on an endless exploration of its history and mythology. There is no question as to how you will fill in your free time after classes, whether it’s within the capital or beyond. From the Temple of Athena Nike, to that of Poseidon on Cape Sounion, from the Daphne Monastery on the Marathon plain to Delphi, Mycenae and Epidaurus… there is no lack of excursions. But seeing Athens only through its prestigious past means forgetting the modern Hellenic metropolis that rivals the largest cities in Mediterranean Europe. Hectic, noisy and bustling, Athens is also a hip city, overflowing with energy, where life goes on, day and night, without skipping a beat.
