School

Torre di Babele, our partner school, is situated at the centre of historic Rome, in an elegant district in Art Nouveau style, shaded and surrounded by parks including the famous 'Villa Torlonia' park. Just a stone's throw away you will find the 'La Sapienza' University and the student district of 'San Lorenzo', famous for its liveliness both during the day and at night. Just as accessible from the language centre is the main train station 'Termini' which allows for easy discovering the marvels of the eternal city of Rome. The school occupies two large floors of an elegant villa 'Liberty' surrounded by a large garden. A student lounge, bright, air-conditioned classrooms, a fully-equipped computer room and a WiFi connection in the garden all combine to create an ideal environment for studying Italian in the heart of Rome.

Accommodation

Host family
Staying with a host family is the ideal option for discovering the Italian culture and practising Italian daily. The families are selected with care and are situated around 30 minutes by public transport away from the language school building. You will stay in a single room with half board provided. This experience will also allow you to get to know the Roman way of life from the inside, their customs, culinary habits and to get a taste of local hospitality.

Shared apartment (from 18 years)
This accommodation option allows students to share with Italian inhabitants, generally adults only, or with other students from the school. You will have your own room as well as free access to the common rooms of the apartment and will be responsible for preparing your own meals. Why not propose to your hosts that you make a speciality of your country for them?

To get to know Rome and Italian culture better our partner school offers students the opportunity to participate in organized activities and outings, some free or at a reduced price, during the week and weekends: guided tours of Rome, itineraries of art history and Italian architecture, cinema, literature, visits to prestigious Roman parks (Villa Doria Pamphili, Parco della Caffarella, Appia Antica, etc. ) and excursions to Naples, Pompei, Orvieto, Florence and to the seaside. The Italian capital abounds with possibilities for going out in the evening with your friends all year round; but if you have the opportunity to stay there in summer, the famous 'Roman Summer' (Estate Romana) transforms Rome into an endless party...

Testimonial

Sonia Müller Living in Rome for two months was a fabulous experience. It's really a great city. I really appreciated the fact that the teachers got involved so much to help me progress. Now I can manage to hold a conversation on any topic and in addition, I passed the CILS 3! Thank you for this magnificent stay!
