It is at the heart of historic Salerno where you will study Italian. Accademia Italiana, our partner school, is situated in Via Roma, one of the busiest streets in the town. It is housed in the Palazzo Angrisani, a magnificent old building facing out onto the sea, and offers all of the facilities and comfort necessary for learning Italian. There are 14 classrooms, with a balcony and sea view, available for group courses and everything is planned for so that you may work on your own outside of class times, whether it's in the language lab, computer room with Internet access or library...Finally, in order to relax after all these efforts, you can meet up with your friends in the student lounge for coffee and a chat.

After the morning classes, you will set off to explore vineyards and learn how to cook traditional dishes from the region. You will also discover Salerno, a Mozzarella factory, the secret of Limoncello fabrication and the cities of Naples, Paestum, and Pompeii.The cherry on the cake: 2 seminars dedicated to the gastronomic traditions and wines from Campania.

Accommodation

Host family
In order to get closer to the Italian culture, there is no better option than to stay with a family in Salerno. You will stay in a single room (there is a possibility to stay in a double room of you are travelling with another student) and will be able to get to the school by foot. To add to the conviviality of this accommodation option and to make things simpler for you, half board is included.

Shared apartment (from 18 years)
If you wish to share with other students from the school, you can opt for the shared apartment accommodation option. The apartments, made available for the school, are well-equipped. You will have the choice between a single or double bedroom to be shared and will share the common areas, like the kitchen and the bathroom, with your flatmates. This is the ideal type of accommodation for those who wish to live in an autonomous way while having contact with students from throughout the world.

Our partner school in Salerno offers a large choice of activities after classes. If you like sports, you will be able to take advantage of being beside the sea and go sailing. If it’s culture you’re more interested in, then you will be able to discover history, art and music during seminars and guided visits. For entertainment, there is no shortage of possibilities. There are organised theatre, cinema and concert evenings and every week, meals with other students with will give you a chance to taste local specialities, much to the delight of your tastebuds. There is no chance of getting bored in Salerno as there is so much to do, see and discover.
