Kudan Institute was a really great experience for me. The school is located in the center of Tokyo and there are several metro stations close by. I like the atmosphere of the school and the staff and the teachers are funny and treat us really well. If you have any problems, they don’t hesitate to help you during class and the teachers are fun and dynamic so you almost never get bored. Your Japanese level will definitely increase very quickly. That’s why I chose to study Japanese at Kudan Institute. I’ve really enjoyed my time there and made a lot of good friends from all over the world, so you will not regret it!

This language study trip was a complete change of scenery, exactly what I was looking for. Tokyo is a fascinating city where you discover something new every day. Without having any basis in Japanese when I left..I really headed into the unknown! I wasn't disappointed. The classes were interesting and adapted to all levels. The school was in a good location and the host family was very welcoming. If you really want to learn the language, you would need to stay for a minimum of 3 months, but I advise, above all, to go there without any hesitation, whatever the duration of your stay!

For years my greatest dream has been to discover Japan. ESL gave me the opportunity to achieve this dream and even more! In addition to spending time listening to me and advising me, the ESL consultants answered all of my questions. Thus, I discovered that Japan is not a cold country, as many people think, but a wonderful country where smiling is a habit!

I decided to stay with a host family in order to get an insight into the culture. I can only recommend this option! The families are so welcoming and they are always ready to help you! It is also a great way to discover Japanese cooking! As my knowledge of English is pretty basic, the classes were difficult at first, I must admit. But thanks to the good-humoured teachers at the school, I am improving my Japanese skills every day!

To sum it up, it is a country into which you should not be afraid to immerse yourself!

The Kudan Institute of Japanese Language and Culture is a very good school to learn Japanese and make rapid progress. I was able to go through a whole textbook within a month. The teachers are excellent and the courses are never boring. Kudan even offers Japanese courses for those who have no prior knowledge of Japanese and accept students from 16 years, which was perfect for me. The school is located close to Tokyo’s centre. Tokyo is a very interesting city for people of all ages and there is a lot to do. As far as I am concerned, I enjoyed the great diversity of the museums and places like Shibuya, Akihabara, Shinjuku and Asakusa, where you can go shopping and find whatever you’re looking for. I also liked the various gardens and green spaces around Tokyo.
