Language school Faro, Cial

Our CIAL partner school is located on the first floor of a small building in the centre of Faro, next to the marketplace. All 5 classrooms are fitted with a television and with audio and video equipment. A computer lab provides Internet ready computers and you can access the Internet throughout the school thanks to the Wi-Fi connection. In the kitchen, you will be able to prepare or warm up your dishes and use the free coffee & tea machine. In the garden/patio, on the ground floor, the students from the whole world can chill out between classes and get to know each other. Close to the school, you will find many cafés, restaurants and shops.

Host family
This accommodation option is by far the best way to practise Portuguese outside of the classroom and to discover the culture and way of life in Faro. The families chosen by our partner school are located about 15-30 minutes from the school itself. You will have your own room and breakfast is provided.

Recreation

The monthly programme organized by our partner school includes amongst other things guided tours of museums and other monuments, parties and Saturday morning walks. If you are keen on culture and history don't miss out on the Nossa Senhora da Assução monastery, the cathedral, Nossa Senhora do Carmo church, Sao Francisco church or the Roman ruins near Estoi. If you like nature, you will find Rio Formosa natural park not far from Faro, known for its unique ecosystem and its reserve housing a very beautiful variety of migrant birds. As for beaches: Olhão and Alulferia are located respectively 15 and 30 minutes away from Faro where there are parties (almost) every evening and all night long.
